Comb filtering on effect tracks (parallel processing)

Hi, routing some parallel processing with effect tracks causes comb filtering.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Load drum machine on a track

2) load a kick and snare sample on drum machine pads

3) make a loop and play

4) Using subtracks of drum machine (kick and snare) turn up the send for kick track and snare track to an empty effect track

5) result: comb filtering in the sound. It seems that the drum machine track and the effect track are not time aligned when mixed in the master track.

This is a bad bug, it blocks any use of parallel processing, especially on drums. I suggest to put this in the top list of things to fix as soon as possible^^

cheers

Confirmed that is definitely an issue. For now I would just make one instrument track + drum machine per hit because the main send is fine. I also noticed if I use the main send its fine but if I solo the FX return channel and then click it off the same comb filtering happens again until you solo the track sending in signal and then toggle it again. Lots of weird behavior in bitwig

Have you sent this as a bug report ?

confirmed, even with 3d party instruments, that's really bad thing, really, really bad thing.
That thing(comb filtering) when soloing/un-soloing Effect to which instrument is sent.

I've sent them a message about this thing right now

this one didn't make it into 1.0.4, but there's a workaround..

just make sure you add a tiny amount of send from the track itself (doesn't matter how quiet, as long as its not totally off) then it will take the track into account when ordering the tracks for processing.

So I haven't checked this out personally yet but just checking:

- The regular sends are sample accurate, so if you send a copy to a send track there won't be any phase issues or comb filtering

- The sub-sends from within a drum rack are causing comb filtering/phase issues so presumably aren't sample accurate?

Good to know if that's the case, seems the technology is there for sample accurate sending (unlike some other DAWs *cough*) but it's just a bug messing it up at the moment.

EDIT: Oh cheers @ kurasa, obviously you guys are on it, looking forward to the fix :)

It works, but if you solo/un-sole Effect return track, it again comes back and it occurs with 3d party VSTis too.
