Rewire issues with Reason

After writing a couple of songs with Reason rewired to Tracktion I've come across a few issues - anyone else noticed weirdness such as:
-graphical corruption, mostly manifesting in shifting 'swimming' pixels as the transport bar passes over midi clips. Also the whole gui sometimes very subletly shift a few pixels.. its hard to describe, maybe I'll post screenies.
-with two identical notes, played with no gap in between (ie. two adjacent C3 4th notes, the first ending at 1 2 000 and the second starting at 1 2 000 ) the second note does not sound. If you advance the second note 1 tick, it then sounds.
-when dragging the tick box to advance these notes 1 tick, sometimes the note is moved backwards a 1/4 note.
-after working for some time, I noticed all of my midi clips were offset by a few ticks - most started and ended at tick 956. I'm not sure if this is a side effect of moving some notes ahead 1 tick or not, but I certainly never moved all these clips myself...
I don't think any of these problems happen when I work with vsti's, so it must be something wonky with Rewire I'm guessing. Thoughts?

I use Reason in 110% of all my work and I've never experienced any of the issues you have.
The only one I could think would be for the 2nd question regarding the 'notes'. By chance, would you have the polyphony sent to '1' and 'Retrig' turned on?
Beyond that, sorry that I can't be of any more help but if you have any specific questions/ideas in mind I'd be glad to help out.

No, this happens with any Reason synth, and regardless or polyphony._oswald wrote: The only one I could think would be for the 2nd question regarding the 'notes'. By chance, would you have the polyphony sent to '1' and 'Retrig' turned on?
So you are rewiring to Tracktion oswald? Hmm, well like I said I'll have to post some screenies I guess.. Its very weird cause I've written dozens of vsti tracks in Tracktion and none of these issues, but each track rewired to Reason acts very strangely.

ive experienced the random flicker of the gui, but only on my second moniter thats displaying reason, never in Tracktions own window.
as far as the rest, there all news to me. T and reason have been working wonderfully for me.

Yeppers. I'm rewiring Reason into Tracktion. To give you an idea of how much I use Reason, one Project I'm doing almost all of the tracks are coming from NNXT's and I've used the Outputs from Reason 'like a junkie.'floyd wrote: No, this happens with any Reason synth, and regardless or polyphony.

Pictures of the chaos may help us help you sort it out, yes.

I'll try to get the screenshots up tomorrow or monday.
I was just working on a track, and I think I figured out the 'slightly offset clips' problem. It happened directly after I looped an area in tracktion. All the clips inside the loop and following it became offset a few ticks back. I'll try to replicate it again.

Ok here are two screenshots of the graphical corruption
corrupt
fixed
Note in particular the little 'spikes' in the midi clips in tracks 1 and 2 (start of bar 76). Those are all actually straight block lines in the piano roll.
I used .png's because the differences are subtle and jpg blurs them somewhat. Flip back and forth between the two images and the differences are obvious. Whats going on?

That's just a graphical problem. I have had it pop up with MIDI tracks for VSTis, Rewire instances... you name it. It's not actually changing the notation.

I tried to tell Jules about that (screen problems) a long time ago... Uh, never was fixed or identified, but it was a Mac issue for me... The other problems with notes not sounding, has always been there... In my experience! Sort of Tracktion "features" if you ask me...

Yeah I'm aware its not changing the midi. I will try another vsti track to test, but so far I've only noticed this corruption on tracks done with Rewire._oswald wrote:That's just a graphical problem. And for sure, 100%, the bug regarding the adjacent notes not sounding is Rewire-only. Import this midi file onto a Rewire track routed to any of Reason's synths. Also import it into a vsti track (I used Refx Claw). On my system, on the Rewire track only the first note sounds. On the vsti track all notes sound. Anybody confirm this for me?

floyd i just tested that midi file for you, I am running latest version of Tracktion and Reason 2.5 in mac osx 10.3.4. I put the midi file on in tracktion sent threw rewire to the subtractor and all notes where heard! I tested on minimoog and all notes where heard as well. So it must be a problem on your end. All was fine here with that midi file playing to a rewire device in Reason.

floyd:
I tested your file and the one note thing happens here, too. What's weird is if you look at the note light in the Subtractor in Reason it seems to be receiving the note, because it will flash 6 times - but the synth is not firing the note.
I tested the same file with Synth1 and heard all four notes.
tracktion 1.5.1.3 and reason 2.5
windows xp
