Not sure what you mean dude? By believable I mean that it's a reasonable process for creating one-off picks that are exactly like some other pick. Unfortunately, very few materials used in 3d fabrication match those used for picks, so its not, really. The style of printer they show (its a photoshopped Makerbot2, I believe) generally prints in PLA or ABS, which are not particularly suitable for a pick; PLA is a bit soft, ABS a bit brittle (at the thicknesses needed). Dude, it's about the concept, not about a product, it's a joke. I'm just saying that it's a better joke than the modeled pick because it has MORE believability than a modeled piece of plastic. It's the difference between Arthor C. Clark and Tolkien. Picks are some kind of plastic, 3d printers work with plastic, picks are defined by physical properties. Even the more upscale 'professional' extrusion-based 3D printers work with similar materials, and the point-fusion 3D printers will be a different category again; resins and some metals etc.

yes, because the fact that I know some about the current state of 3D printing clearly means Im inured to the prospect of further materials being usable eventually. That makes sense.All of my picks are nylon, FYI.
