Yes, good idea!

Once we have that report tool finished, it'll allow you to automatically send stuff through a web interface.
Cool, sent.

Web interface is not a good idea for me, unfortunately, as my audio computer is not connected to the net (all web services disengaged).
Thanks, there's a lot of insight for us in this!

What CPU, buffer size and what samplerate do you use?

By the way, Urs I just realized that although most mod source selectors are automatable in Zebra, the XMF ones are not. Was this for a reason?
It shows "unit" in Reaper too.

Not so, ... I'm seeing it in Tyrell Nexus 6, ZebraCM and Uhbiks (rev 1559) too, in Reaper and XT2 too.

And in Uhbik-F, shouldn't the parameter name "Tunits" be "Times"?

Hey, no problem, Urs ...

My CPU is 9550, I ran the test with 256/128/64 buffer (but not sure if this specific test was done with 128 or 256. most probably 128).

I have (and will, for the foreseeable future) ran it at 44.1kHz/32bit

Cheers

Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

Oh my bad. I guess Bitwig just doesn't show units, whereas other hosts do. Sorry.

Hi Urs,

tried ACE AAX64 (from ACE2211Mac.zip) in current PT 11 under current Mac OSX 10.9.2. PT11 crashes directly without any detailed log shown (but i could save one - see attached) when tried to insert ACE into an instrument stereo track (as usual). I just get an empty window with "send report".

Are ether any newer beta or alpha builds out of ACE for Mac? I'm open to help to "debug" / test it. It drives me crazy to run ACE in BlueCat VST-> AAX64 adaptor as automation is not very comfortable and so on...

many thanks for any help.

cheerioh,

Niels.

Hi,

This seems to be a very random issue. We can't reproduce it yet and unfortunately we can't decypher the PT crash dump yet.

We'll eventually figure it out :)

I get instant crashes with 2211 builds of ACE, DIVA, Satin, Uhbik and Zebra in PT 11.1.2 all the time...

Sheesh. It crashes on non of our machines. We'll continue to try and figure this out.

Do you have a song template with a big sample library?

We now can get Avid to decode crash logs for us. If you would send the crash logs to support at u-he dot com then we could send them in, and (hopefully) get readable information from them.

Thanks,

- Urs

I haven't had any crashes on Win 8.1 PT 11.1.2 with Zebra. Running really well but I am getting harsh volume spikes with Zebrify with the FM module. I open an FM and the volume is huge and almost have to have the volume all the way down to be manageable.

Pro Tools crashes seem related to PACE. Might be a malfunction during the build process, and something that doesn't occurr with the licenses we have on our developer iLoks.

We'll keep you informed and we'll post new builds once we have a solution.

Surprise, surprise!

And some people think I'm daft for refusing to let that viral stuff into my music Mac…

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Nope, not PACE, it's us :)

Will be fixed shortly!

Hi Urs,

thanks for your time!

short additions/answers att:

- No, we did not have any song templates with sample libs included. I tried to create a new session in 44,1, 44.8 and 96 KHz (24bit) just one track and SCE AAX64 on it and even within a multitrack session

- Zebra2 and Zebrify and the other free U-HE instruments we are using are working smoothly in PT11 for us.

- i've found out that running the ACE VST from the beta in BlueCat VST -> AAX64 adaptor leads to crashes too - but when closing / saving the session in PT 11. This NOT happens if i run the current "stable" version as offered as download on your u-he ACE page - i't seems using that VST object in BlueCat's adaptor in PT11 works stable.

If i can help you pls just let me know this. You can reach me directly by niels@dettenbach.de i.e. for testing / further investigation or further system details.

If i should send something in to support at u-he pls let me known this too. Would be really nice to experiment with ACE on PT11 AAX64.

cheerioh,

Niels.
