Anyway, I agree that we need more reviews, especially since the forum servers only search the last few months of posts. At least the reviews stick around for awhile.
I think it is best to simply state your prejudices upfront in the review, then let the words fly. If you want to review Amplitube, but hate guitars, just let that be known and proceed to tell everyone what it can do to drumloops or accordians. I'm sure someone would find the review usefull.
In these days of functional demos it is easier for one to be objective, as well. If I were to review my digital camera, for instance, I could make statements about how well it works for me, but I have no way to compare it to competing models. OTOH, when we review software, we can easily make comarisons to competing products because we can actually try the demos. Makes us all that much closer to working for CM...
