Hi,

I'm new as you know to tracktion... I've noticed theres VERY lack of detail concerning midi composition in the manual... I mean questions such as - how do we scroll up and down the octaves in the midi clip (not just compress/expand view)? What are the key shortcuts for arrow, Pencil buttons? Is there a way to set specific note lengths? I actually thought there might have been a more detailed manual after I bought it (two days ago) but I see nothing of the sort...

All help appreciated

All keyboard shortcuts are user-definable on the settings page.
Drag the keyboard to move up/down keyrange.

Or mousewheel over the keyboard. CTRL mousewheel over keyboard zooms.

What about sending out a specific note size, instead of clicking and dragging the exact timing? Is there any quick methods of this? (For instance, clicking a 1/4 note down every time you click)

Another small conundrum I have is: how do I set it up so that I can record midi properly? It usually takes a few beats in order to begin... any suggestions?

Notes are created as the minimum snap value. Zoom out or in. (That's if you're talking about mouse-inputing notes).

There's a count-in option. I can't remember where it is at the mo.

Theres a button called "Click Track" on the lower left corner. You can change the settings in there.

Also, you wont get a precount when you're recording in loop mode. So thats another way of getting rid of the pre-count.
