I just listened to the combined demos on SC... the one long track that goes through some of the patches. The one long track and how it cycles through is definitely the way to go, imo. That makes it easy to just have it playing in the background while I'm working on other stuff. I actually like listening that way because then I can stop and go back to listen again if something REALLY pops out.
Of course, I've been stopping a lot on this round.

That is very cool! How did you meet them? I have something vaguely in common with the Tom Tom Club: we have both played at Gazzarri's/The Key Club in Hollywood (on different days). Jerry Harrison is not working with the Tom Tom Club, is he?

A mutual friend was having dinner with Tina & Cris and asked them.
I got called from their manager, they were into it.
Im not sure if J.H was a member of the Tom Tom Club.
I got to see them once, a fun show.
What kind of music did your band play?
I also saw the Talking Heads "Stop Making Sense" Tour.
One of the best live shows I have seen, very seriously cool.
I did watch the video recently and it still stands the test of time.

We were mostly a top 40 cover band, though we played a lot of new wave/alternative songs (this was 1984 when we played Gazzarri's). We only played covers at Gazzarri's. They let us play for two sets; about 45 minutes total playing time. It's not easy playing originals to a live audience. People usually want to hear something they recognize (especially when it comes to dancing). I played a Roland Juno 106 and a Sequential Circuits Pro-One; sang a few background vocals. I played in several bands in the 80's. Lots of fun when it's going well. But I got tired of flakey band members after awhile. Now I'm just a one man band home studio project.

Sounds like fun actually, at least you got it up and running which many top 40 bands never do.
I also went the route of the one man thingy, after awhile its what make sense
