For 50 Koruna you only get a cheap frozen pizza in Germany at the discount store... :scared:

That's not worth fiddling around for 30 hours (or more) with the Style Editor to make a special GUI, only to get a cheap frozen pizza afterwards...

Post

I'm starting to feel like you don't understand it is a joke :D

Btw. it's probably be more than 30 hours :D

How 'bout a months' supply of Pilsner Urquell? :D

Post

Well, I wouldn't recommended that, Pilsner makes me sick :(, but I'd recommend Staropramen for example ;). Unfortunately I don't own it and I think you would probably drink a lot of it :D. It's not healthy anyway! ;)

The inverted principle of the 'Sibylline books'... :hihi:

"The story of the acquisition of the Sibylline Books by Tarquinius is one of the famous mythic elements of Roman history. The Cumaean Sibyl offered to Tarquinius nine books of these prophecies; and as the king declined to purchase them, owing to the exorbitant price she demanded, she burned three and offered the remaining six to Tarquinius at the same stiff price, which he again refused, whereupon she burned three more and repeated her offer. Tarquinius then relented and purchased the last three at the full original price and had them preserved in a vault beneath the Capitoline temple of Jupiter."

I'm starting to feel that you don't understand that I made jokes, too... :P

But nevertheless, it was meant to be a serious question. Because you wrote that a good GUI will be rewarded...but without knowing with WHAT, it doesn't make sense to start to make a special GUI. I don't like to work for 80 cent per hour...

That's up to negotigation of course ;). But forum is not a good place for that.

Imagine I'd apply for a job and then the employer says: "First make your work for 2 weeks full-time, afterwards we'll talk about how much money we can pay to you..." :uhuhuh: :nutter: :x

Which isn't rare - you often see the approximated wage or the pay grade mentioned in online job markets and in job announcements...

Otherwise I cannot decide if it's worth to work with the Style Editor and to create a completely new GUI. Because I can live with the included GUIs, they're not the most elegant ones but they aren't bad, either...

It's not that I'm sitting at home, desperately waiting for some (free) GUIs to create. I have many projects in the works (not GUI-related)...

Post

:D :D we can do it in public if you wish, no problem with that ;). It has its pros and cons ;).

At least a few words about the compensation would be helpful. Doesn't have to be in Koruna, you can compensate them with some of your plugins, too. Then everyone can decide if it's worth to make a new GUI with the Style Editor, or not. Because it looks like much work to make BETTER GUIs than those which are already included.

I'm sure there are even some people (with much time) out there who will make GUIs for free but I don't have the time to make everything for free...I really have to look now how to get a bit of money, otherwise you'll see me with my computer under the bridge... :o

A'right then, Tricky.

Show some references and don't forget to mention your idea of payment.

I guarantee that there will be someone with (at least) equal or better skills doing it for less.

They call it 'globalism'.

As a German fellow you might know "myhammer.de". Craftsmen offering their work at this place must be real "behämmert". Just my point of view. ;)
