Hi, dear Mulab users,

Does anyone have experience with Cakewalk's Dimension Pro? I still love to use it...don't ask...

When I choose a sound and then close dimension's program browser and later reopen it, I don't see the selected sound in the browser, but the complete file structure. Makes it hard to find the sound again, when you got lots of sound programs on your harddrive. It works with other DAWs, so I think it could be a Mulab problem...

Thanks for yout help!!

Hi JoeE,
I'm afraid it is the same with Studio One, Live, Reaper, Orion, Tracktion, XT, Mixcraft etc. (Just tested).
Once you close the VST window and its browser you're done.

Which DAW gives you the desired results?

Hi!

thanks for your answer,

for example, Multitrackstudio from Bremmers Audio does :-)

Thanks!

Yes it does! How strange...
I remember that program from long time ago. It got better (iPad version!). Very unusual workflow.
Cool for a quick MIDI import and have the score done for it but.... it can't be printed :(

yes, it's nice and small, has some nice features like automatic chord recognition, built in effects like vocal correction, dithering, but it's unusable for pattern based music. That's why I do these things with MuLab UL ;-)

I think, I will contact Cakewalk, because of the browser problem...

Thanks again!!

I contacted the Cakewalk support for this and for another problem, and there was no reaction at all for weeks now. Wow, great support... I wonder if they would answer more quickly to a Sonar pre sales question ;-)

Somewhat related: With many DAW's one does not see the name of the selected user patch, it just does not show up anywhere, like in track names, slots names of racks, etc. But I am not sure it is a DAW issue or a plugin issue. Somehow it seems the patch name is not given to the DAW the way it should be. Often what one sees instead is the name of some factory preset one is not even using.
It is not a big issue, but I have for instance about a dozen different electric bass emulations on one synth, so if I forget to rename the track manually right away, I will have a hard time later on finding out which bass I am actually using.

Hi,
yes, it's a waste of time, searching for sounds that are already in use...

It works perfectly with Bremmers Multitrack Studio and with LMMS (!)
