Split Track to Separate Wav Files While Recording?

[First off, if someone knows another way around this issue, please let me know...]

I am currently using a program called EZTracker on
a Windows PC for doing live recording of sermons.
However, I'd like to switch to using a Mac, but need
to find different software because EZTracker does not work on a Mac.

Enter Tracktion.

What EZTracker allows me to to do is either manually or automatically (at pre-defined intervals) initiate a new wave file while recording live. This allows for immediate CD creation after the recording has stopped, with the sermon already being split into to separate tracks... which is most valuable to the listener of an hour-long sermon... the user can start up listening again at a specific track if they got interuppted.

Would it be possible to, at minimum, add the capability to have the "/" key (split) function during the recording process, thus closing the existing wave file and initiating a new one without losing any material? Or, add a new feature called "New Wave".

If this were possible to be done, I would buy Tracktion for sure. Even if it would take a little while to see the feature, but know that it's coming, I would hold off switching over to the Mac until such a time.

I'd appreciate a response from the author, if possible, on the feasibility of this feature being added.

Thanks!
