so it is. it´s still as close as you could get to a real b3, though due to the fact that the real b3 is a electromechanical instrument, the sound tolerances between every b3 is quite noticable, so there´s is no "the b3", they´re all different and depending on how weared they are, the difference increases drastically.
however, vb3 is the most authentic one, by far, it even beats the buildt in logic one, and it´s way less cpu demanding. actually it´s a steal at that price.

got the free one that GSI puts out and downloaded some of the others that are free but synthmaster gets my okay as well because of the spot on Nori presets for floyd Genesis Wakeman and ELP etc....

Even when played by Keith Emerson?

Take a look at his very, very personal method to play organ...

welldone, mate !

:tu:

My opinion might a bit biaised because i'm a big fan of seventie's progressive rock but i don't think much other styles of modern musics allows such a demonstration of virtuosity

that's what i would thought too...

Anybody find the ultimate "B3" iPad (ie: Lemur, ToushOsc, etc...") template for controlling the drawbars of these VSTi in real time?

And did anyone compare any of these to Galileo on the iPad?

So this thing is 64 bit now. So I guess I'll finally buy it. It was the only gsi plugin whose demo wouldn't behave with jbridge. This may be old news but I just found out and am stoked.

lol . . not a Hammond player, right?
Don't worry, I'm not making fun. Unless someone loves Hammond organ, it's an easy misunderstanding.

Martinic modeled transistor organs: Vox Continental & Farfasia.

VB3 is most definitely the KING of Hammond emulations.

The Martinic organs are pretty handy for the transistor sound though. I've gotten great use out of them since b4 stopped working with my latest upgrade. They might get the boot now that I can use vb3 in my host.

There seems to be a new contender that hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet, sample-based: Hammr+

Some discussion on it at GS.

Sounds like they're working towards a suite: the Growler pack is coming up next.

It's sample-based like Vintage Organs and the same kind of control options, but it has some nice warm rich patches in the demos. Anyone A-B'ed against VB3?

Pendle's sample libraries are crazy nice. I think it's a tricky thing to properly capture the behaviors and note interactions of an electromechanical organ with samples though. I use tons of sampled organs. I just don't use them if I want it to sound like an authentic Hammond and it's towards the front of the mix.

The whole set is out now. Worth a look. Sounds great.

i'm not big on organ sounds and thus probably talking nonsense, but LinPlug Organ 3 is a nice alternative to VB3. it's a bit more expensive and i don't like the sound of the cabinet very much (prefer to use either Amplitube or MVintageRotary), but it surely is great as well.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Thanks for the mention breeze :)

Hammr Growler is available now, so the full Hammr Suite is finally complete;

...and there is the Bass & Chords version you can try out for free.

Must admit I've been deliberately avoiding this thread. I am absolutely not a purist and although obviously I think my Hammr Suite sounds amazing, I'm more interested in creating a great sounding instruments than slavishly sticking to "authenticity"
There are certain things that a sampled H****** can never achieve, so instead of trying to recreate the impossible flaws and idiosyncrasies I've used sampling to extended the functionality in really useful and creative ways that were never possible in the original

Having said that, this whole library was developed with Oasis/Sheryl Crow keyboardist Mikey Rowe who has already used it on the new Noel Gallagher album ( and a few others I can't mention) , and it's been getting some really great comments from the organ purist too :)

cheers

But it works fine in Logic X using 32Lives, at least in 10.9.5.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!
