I think there's a bug with LFO->PM. When I connect an LFO to PM and then disconnect it, the osc phase continues to be modulated by the LFO even though the connection is gone. The PM knob no longer has an effect, but the LFO settings still do.

Post

LFO problems: Could it be vibrato? LFO1->Vibrato (on the 'tweak' tab) is hardwired, but this isn't always apparent on the init patch because LFO1 amplitude = modwheel. Dunno if this is it, I've been spooked & confused by LFO1 a few times :hihi:

and Bazille can be 'normal' too

Ah, thanks! You're right. Just the order I was doing things in, I didn't realized I was getting vibrato and PM from LFO 1 simultaneously. When I disconnected from PM, the vibrato remained.

Cool stuff :)

I had to do this one, I just couldn't resist :hihi:

Okay. I played for about an hour. I could get some amazing zips, zaps, clinks and clanks and buchla-style bongo hits, some great mellow electric piano timbres, a couple decent bells, something approaching a really cool modular bass sound (very impressive this one) and whole host of other interesting timbres and spacey drone sounds.

I could not get a great sort of long/evolving pad sound. Any tips or examples?

I couldn't figure out how to nuke vibrato from LFO 1 either, but I sure wanted to.

Awesome synth, alot of fun to play with. I may just be a noob and this should be expected but I seem to get all kinda of crackling noises if I increase the release envelope past a few seconds no matter what I have setup (It starts happening around 3 voices). Its not clipping in my DAW for sure. Makes it kinda rough to use for any type of chord or pad etc.

EDIT:

I figured out my own problem, had to switch on "Multicore". Since I have a 4.5 GHZ i7 I thought no way CPU could be my problem :D. This is a humbling experience. I really should RTFM, I saw the "HQ" toggle as well. I guess that's what was doing me in.

If I had to complain about anything with Bazille, the Large setting is just a hair too big for my 1080 display with the standard windows 8.1 borders. I think it's the only U-he plugin that does not fit.

I think I noticed a little typo in the Bazille manual, on page 33: "The third row contains the extra envelope parameters, filters 2 and 3, and two ramp generators." That should be "filters 3 and 4", right?

In FL Studio 11.1.0 on Windows 7 64-bit if I enable Multicore on an old 2-core the CPU load is roughly doubled and I get a lot of crackling. Gradually the whole thing seems more and more unstable with short CPU spikes happening increasingly often over a period of perhaps 20 - 30 seconds. "Regular" 32-bit FL Studio and Bazille. Not enough cores? :P
Does Multicore work its intended magic for anyone in FL Studio 11? Are there perhaps some FL Studio settings I should have adjusted, does anyone more experineced than me in these matters have a clue?

Enjoying making silly noises that go on strange rhythmic journeys as I explore the region of the lower notes and the oscillators beat against a ramp driven tap map.. Ah, sleep suddenly seems overrated... with a slight undercurrent of :scared:

I did this small demo. It's basically one patch doing a dark ambient pad sound using only Bazille and no other FX.

All the modulations are happening inside Bazille.

IF anyone wants the patch PM me and I'll hook you up.

Just whipped this up, I think every trick for pads in Bazille I know is in here: https://app.box.com/s/cwpgj1206ptbu42wezeu

The Bazille-cool thing would be to hook something up to the sequencer, that's a kind of wild I have yet to face

I have not done much exploration of long evolving pads with Bazille... Made lots of ambient textures which I layer and blend and trigger with samplers to create evolution that way. You got me curious though, so I just tried an evolving sound with Bazille... played realtime with a held note and plenty of knob turning...

Ok I brought it. How do I un register the beta serial and input my new details?

Edit: Never mind I changed the details in the text file in the data folder. I was worried it may not work but it has. Great synth.
