I wouldn't say that. It depends on the R&D to build a special osc like this. Then how many hours it takes to build it. Then what kind and how many components you have to use. Then finally the market: If there is no competitor but a big market. Some would say 15k for a compressor is not okay. But others understand/appreciate its value and are willing to pay for it. Or how about 5k for a mono synth, where you cannot repatch the modules?
If you wouldn't pay 1k for an osc, then that's just you.
