yeap, offline bit-reduction effect too :tu:
Yeah, that's how I've been making chip-type sounds in ACE for the longest time.

Another cool effect: Select 6 or 8 steps, but draw a square wave that alternates on each step, so you effectively have 3 or 4 cycles, then apply phase distortion... Gives you that kinda ringing guitar feedback sound.

So many possibilities.

I'm really digging the slew limiter with different rates for up and down, too. Composite squarewave sounds can morph into saw-based ones, etc.

^ sounds great, .. try alternating all 128 steps
Then select the undertone for the osc tune and set it to say ... 2

and play relatively lower notes while playing with PD and checking out different waves

Self FM the PD knob here is killer!

Yeah, the HQ switch comes in handy here :D

Hi, thank you for the post.

For the info of who cares, sometimes when changing mono to legato it dont returns to the mono estate despite of reading mono, the notes still legatto assuming glide time parameters.(1st session notice)

anybody successfully installed in MacOsX.5.8 using Pacifist? it crashes Ableton Live and Plogue Bidule for me :(
But then a strange fear gripped me
and I just couldn't ask....

Is there a place for bug reports? I'm getting this in Logic (10.0.7, OSX 10.9.3):

Application Specific Information:
abort() called
*** error for object 0x60000062af80: Heap corruption detected, free list canary is damaged

when opening Bazille (2352), which is by then on 16 threads waiting for some mutex.

Bugs can be reported here, crashs logs etc. can be sent to support at u-he dot com

Our team will comb through this thread and fill our bugtracker with issues :)

Great synth, detailed and crisp sound, hq sounds superb more punchy and clear than aalto when u drive the filter + some distortion, great filter also... ITB is getting so good gj.

Name is taken from the french painter Jean Frederic Bazille?

What's the slew rate reduction (limiter?) in the gui called? Just read about it above...

Gui could be better, Preset text and cables need better AA, "Bazille" font is ugly imo church/gothic style font meh... try putting the name "bazille" above the oscilloschope and make the preset text box (1st screen preset selector above synth) smaller, it's huge compared to the rest gui.

Very important: about the workflow, i would like to solo oscs so when i have some complex patch made and want to add an osc i cant hear what im doing with the new osc. In case i have found the right balance between osc levels, it's not wise to tweak the volume knobs back and forth or re-patch cables all the time.

LFO1 doesn't seem to work wherever i patch it i can't get any modulation from it, i have tweaked modulation mount in the target and lfo rate but nothing so far.

Like aalto fundametals can sound weak after some tweaking, so especially bass notes are somewhat empty, i hope i can make some punchy sine(s) to add or sub oscs to phatten the sound, idk if im gonna get the sound i want with distortion on... or else another synth / layer will help make wicked sounds with presence!

It has some learning curve but i feel it will be rewarding ... cant wait to hear more sounds to have a better picture.

Haha. No. "Bazille" means "bacteria" in German.

Bugette in the current initialize preset: LFO Amp Mod (knob in bottom right corner of LFO module) is currently assigned to Mod Wheel and set to 100%. Click the "ModWhl" label and set to "none", or turn value down to 0.

OSC1 is also used for Vibrato, see "Tune Control" section on "Tweaks & FX" page, turn it down to 0 to avoid unwanted LFO vibrato.

The initialize preset also doesn't "remember" FX, so if you switch from a preset that uses FX back to the initialize preset, the FX stay active.

We already improved the initialize preset regarding these small "things", a new version including these fixes should be out within the next days. :)
Cheers

+1 Solo Osc's.

Would be very handy.

Do not you also thought about the possibility of linking the oscillator settings ?

I tried the alpha a few years ago, but didn't follow the development. Yesterday I downloaded the beta and I can't remember when it was the last time I had so much fun with a synth. Must be its geeky character, I guess. I haven't dived much into its specifics (esp. the Tweaks page & the signal processors), but dealing with the waveshaping and filter routing possibilities alone is already a lot of fun. I think the GUI looks very nice, a bit problematic for me is the cable stuff. Even from one day to another it's hard to follow what I did last night, but I guess that's by design :D. I got some really nasty sounds out of it and made this little demo. Apart from the drums it's all pure Bazille without any effects or mastering (or mixing  )
