Dont show threads created by 'Foe'

If someone is added as a 'Foe', it hides their posts.
However, any threads started by a Foe Still show up in 'latest posts'. Is there any way these can be hidden/filtered?
thanks

But if somebody which is not a Foe quotes a Foe's posting, you end up having to read it anywayIf someone is added as a 'Foe', it hides their posts.

+1, muting was a bad enough idea...but tbh the word foe sparks very negative thoughts and I dont care for it...I have no foes myself, some folk I dont care for but a foe? No, not on the internet anyhow because it's only words. You're going to see them in quotes, but do not give your power to someone else to let words bother you. Use it to your advantage, if you see a thread by someone you dislike, dont read it...it's a forum and a good place to practice tolerance and acceptance. IRL there are going to be a lot more times where you need to bite your tongue and you cant walk away or ignore someone. Besides...even those you do not agree with will say things you can learn from. You can learn something from everyone you meet so why shut off such a resource?Numanoid wrote:But if somebody which is not a Foe quotes a Foe's posting, you end up having to read it anywayIf someone is added as a 'Foe', it hides their posts.
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Hink I do see your point, but I unfortunately I have a very short fuse which results in me becoming extremely angry, pretty much all the time which is not good for my health.
I'm currently on antidepressants which helps but anything I can do to reduce stress and anger from poisoning me and stopping me being.. well, a complete dick.. is a help. To everyone.

what is the point of muting people anyway? the person your muting could be your best friend in real life and you would never know it due to your petty forum arguing. or the person might have some interesting post that you would otherwise not see. besides on kvr like all forums, you always have that thread where you argue with said person. 6 months later, you guys are cool and even online friends because you don't even remember your petty argument. life's far to short as it is to waste your time muting people. i realize this is just my 2 cents.

Some users prefer it, it's optionalAstralExistence wrote:what is the point of muting people anyway?
I wish I could mute threads that was of no interest to me.

I agree. There are people here who are offensive, arrogant pricks and some who seem to think that I am on some personal crusade to 'get them' - I don't know that it matters whether I mark them as foes or mute them - I can just ignore them. It's not rocket surgery...Hink wrote:muting was a bad enough idea...but tbh the word foe sparks very negative thoughts and I dont care for it...I have no foes myself, some folk I dont care for but a foe?

There is something with internet discussion as in road rage, that even peaceful types will get into a quarrel.

That's true...Numanoid wrote:There is something with internet discussion as in road rage, that even peaceful types will get into a quarrel.
If someone calls me right-winger or even Nazi, then I can get pretty angry because I'm born in Dachau and I'm against Nazis since I was born... But then, muting those people, doesn't help me if others still can read the crap what they write. So far I've reported some people to mods in a few really serious cases but I never muted them...

Not quite foolproof (see quote in this very post) but better than nothing.

What would be intersting of course is to see the top 10 list of users tagged as Foe
