Hello... I have a question about using Mux as an fx rack.
I wanted to know if you can have multiple audio inputs coming inside Mux. I have a main signal coming in and I wanted to have a 2nd signal coming in for side-chaining... Audio 1/2 are the main signal and 3/4 would be the side-chain signal.

Seems like it would be possible...(i think). But when I create a second Audio In inside Mux, I don't see how to have it set up for the 3/4 channel.

Thanks for you help

That depends on the host. Taking Reaper as an example.

Set up one track for each audio in.

Set up one track for Mux.

Turn off Master/Parent Send for the two audio ins.

Set the Mux track to four channel and set its inputs from the two audio ins, mapping 1/2 => 1/2 for the first and 1/2 => 3/4 for the second. (This is the critical, host-specific bit.)

Inside Mux, as an example, set up two audio ins, two mixer strips and one audio out, routing each in through a mixer strip and then out the one output.

(You can replace the two audio in tracks with MIDI tracks, of course.)

hey... thanks so much!! got it going.
and actually I was using Reaper for this track, so that was perfect.

I had a vsti synth going to a Mux FX Rack on the same track. Inside of Mux I frequency split the signal using 3 eq's. And I wanted to sidechain the low end eq to the bassdrum while letting the other signals pass through...

totally cleaned up the low end... thanks again!!
