Bazille Public Beta (updated to 2370)

I guess this is the place to post potential bugs.
Last night, I was working on a new tune and had set Bazille filter cutoff controls to midi learn the 2nd modulation wheel on my SY77 which is controller no. 13 and it worked as expected. However, after I had saved the project (using REAPER 4.62 on Win8) and later reopened it, Bazille did not respond to the midi controller 13 data sent from the REAPER track. I had to reconnect my SY77 and do the midi learn process again. After that Bazille once again responded to the midi data sent from the REAPER track.
I thought perhaps the lock function on the cutoff knobs might 'lock' the midi learn state into those controls (I probably should read the manual to see what that really does) but that made no difference. Once I closed the REAPER project and reopened it, I had to go through the midi learn process again to get it to respond to the REAPER midi data. Even saving the patch after doing the midi learn process didn't help.
It seems Bazille is not remembering midi learn.
I forgot to mention this is with version 2370. I haven't tried with the previous beta.

Hi Uhrs,
thanks for delivering BAZILLE !!!
just two small bugs,
1. just bought my copy, but can not register again, because it is registered as Public Beta...
reinstall does no solve the issue.
2. there are some schmutzig graphic dropouts after detaching cables, you can see in the screenshot
Happy patching
Have a nice day

Please forgive me if this has been addressed, but I've just installed the new public beta and have tried to use the credentials on page 1 of this thread and I keep getting a message in Logic X that the login/pass is incorrect. I'm copying and pasting though and have tried about 5 time, including several reloads of Bazille just to make sure that wouldn't help. What am I missing?
Here's the info I've been using:
User Name: "Public Beta"
Serial: "X5DY-O21G-HPI4I-IGB42-Y6SX1"
Is this still the correct info to use?
Looking very forward to playing with this!
Thanks!

I just read the post concerning not enough LFOs. That got me thinking. My first synth was an EML-101. That was back in 1973. Back then there never seemed to be enough of any particular module. So, in order to increase module count in a non-modular (but infinitely patchable) synth all you needed to do was add another synth that used identical CV scalings. EML kept all the VC characteristics of the EML-200 when they developed the 100/101. So, you could add an EML-200 to a 101 and it would effectively give you 2 more VCOs, a precision LFO, a manual-HPF and a manual-LPF (albeit, neither with resonance), a envelope generator, a stereo VCA, a spring reverb, a wave shaper, a programmable switch, a couple ring modulators, and a wave sampler. Similar to the U-He modulars, EML equipment made no distinctions between audio and control voltages, so anything could be plugged into anything else. Remember, the EML-200 dated to 1969 and the EML-101 to 1971, and this is a bit before Tom Oberheim came up with the idea of the SEM. Anyway, the idea that I'm getting at, which was most popularized by Oberheim's SEM, was that you could increase module count in non-modular VC devices by adding multiple-module devices (e.g., an SEM). By the time I was done, my non-modular EML-101 had become a 8 VCO, 2 VCF, 6 EG, 4 manual-filter, 4 VCA (2-stereo), 4-LFO device with a huge number of processors and two gorgeous sequencers, all by adding 2 101s, 2-200s, and 2 400s.
So, I was wondering how hard it would be to develop this sort of functionality in software (i.e., an SEM type module that would have a number of modular components that couild be patched into other U-He synths). I would love to have such a device available for my Ace (I haven't really played with Bazille yet), and I'm sure that most people who buy these synths so they can program them would just eat such an expansion module up!
Just my random thoughts,
John

Well, I just was about to pull the plug on pre-ordering Bazille but I noticed that the PC version appears to be 32-bit only. Right now I have everything working nicely in SONAR X3-64 as native 64-bit stuff. About how long do you think before a native 64-bit PC version will be available. Right now in it's 32-bit edition I would be relegated to playing with using an instance of 32-bit SAVIhost.
Thanks in advance,
John

It already is 64-bit...mosspa wrote:Well, I just was about to pull the plug on pre-ordering Bazille but I noticed that the PC version appears to be 32-bit only. You have the new user interface, but the revision number still says 1331 - that's the old alpha one, the current one is 2370. So, somewhere along the installation either the Audio Unit wasn't updated (maybe the host was open?), or maybe you have another AU installed in your user folder.mysterymachinestudio wrote:Please forgive me if this has been addressed, but I've just installed the new public beta and have tried to use the credentials on page 1 of this thread and I keep getting a message in Logic X that the login/pass is incorrect. I'd recommend to delete any Bazille.component in both
/MacHD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
/MacHD/Users/You/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
and reinstall.
That'll do the trick

Bazille wins!
Been eyeing up a few synths lately, but after demoing this thing for just a few hours I'm hooked! Making some disgustingly brilliant squelchyness wrapped up in distorted grot and snot. Love it.
Seems to be great for simple sounds too (especially basses), but them wires are calling...
Edit: Was just about to add that a working knowledge of ACE made jumping in pretty painless, and then noticed there's an update for that too. Sweet!
