Consequence - turn off drum beat part of patch

Is there a way to turn the 4 on the floor beat off in new patches. Only way I see is by turning down the volume- annoying.

It depends how you start a new patch.
If you go from the 'absolute empty' patch in the user folder the beat will be off.
You can also switch off the kick by activating SC in the master section.
