"Genius software cowboy"? Yes, that's not a bad description of Urs :-)
Plus he has an invisible pet dragon. True.

And WHO you think you are? Some sort of genius software sheriff/cowboy?
Who says that the latest o-so-protected U-hes haven't been cracked?
Only because they haven't been published doesn't mean nothing.
But please believe what you like to believe…

You're just annoyed that you have not been able to find them for yourself... :hihi:

You constantly seem to have a real emotional investment in the alleged existence of cracks for particular bits of software, dont you.

Yes, Urs is very devoted to these things. He loves that. I personally was a bit so-so when I joined the team, partly because I wasn't used to care that much from my ex-job (Magix might probably be big enough to be able to even out the risks, and they got multiple business models and markets at their disposal). But meanwhile I learned that actively facing piracy is inevitable for our 'small' company to survive. We currently are 8 full-time people living directly on our products and sales, therefore I'm glad Urs carries on doing such 'sport'. Keeps him young and in shape ;)

I'm the guy who has proof that crackers are morons, who have no friends but what rather appears to be deluded deciples.

I'm also the guy who points that out whenever he can. I'm furthermore the guy who had all sorts of repercussions annonced to him, and they never came. Or I've never seen them, should they have occurred.

You now have the glorious opportunity to prove me wrong. Send those cracked versions (rev2000+) by email. We'll quickly reverse the crack, and if genuine I will post an apology.

We all know who Urs is. We do not know who YOU are, apart from a crackers fanboy and regular smartass.

And if those cracks that you cherish so much haven't been published, how can we google them?

Calling other people "morons" makes you equal to them!
Reverse Engineering is a form of ART. Furthermore nearly all developers learn many things from Reverse Engineers. Another thing is when folks distribute cracks that were meant to kept secret. The "deluded Disciples" as you say, are many times deluded ex-customers. So this should make developers think about their own mistakes…

I can't see why developing software and selling it to customers is a mistake. What do you accuse us for, exactly? That we try to protect our work? Again, we're no hobbyists doing that for fun and art, we're doing it for a living. Some of us have families. We're professionals, in the true sense of that word. Nevermind, if you're not willing to understand that, that's ok, we can live with that.

Pulling apart something doesn't mean you understand how it works, if at all you're able to put it back together again.

If those "artists" had any skill, they wouldn't be weeding through the intestines of other people's creations, but much rather be impressing us all with creative products of their own.

If any of those Reverse Engineers were worth more than a tired smile, they'd be coding DSP themselves instead of trying to understand why all their "working" cracks expire.

Nah. Creating something like Zebra or Diva, now THAT is ART.

Interesting theory as to how adjectives work. Is that why you're so arselickingly proud of them, because you think by calling them clever it means you're clever?
Reverse Engineering is a form of ART.
No, its merely a form of engineering, there's no higher philosophical or cultural importance or merit to it.
Furthermore nearly all developers learn many things from Reverse Engineers.
God, you really do worship those c**ts dont you. And yet, if they're so f**king creative, makes you wonder why they don't actually create anything.
The "deluded Disciples" as you say, are many times deluded ex-customers.
Deluded, self-entitled, and greedy ex-customers, you mean.
So this should make developers think about their own mistakes…
Well, the primary mistake would be in selling something to someone who subsequently thinks he's entitled to anything he wants for free.
Big proponent of anything else like that, are you? If you cant get something you want legitimately, you're entitled to it anyway, right?

Well, cracktards live in hiding, obviously. I hope they feel really embarrassed by the way they are represented here.

The idea that there's *anything* to be learned from cracktards is just hilarious
