They are from the DrumGizmo Kits. I have the permissions set correctly.

Can you send me them via info@meldaproduction.com?

They are on the site. They are the version 2 kits.

Sorry but I don't see it there. It seems like some plugin or something. Please give me a direct link.

Found something, like the DRSKit, but it doesn't seem related...anyway it seems crashing, so I'll check.

Aaaha, ok, so these are "multichannel" WAVs, you'd have a hard time finding anything to open it. These contain 13 channels, so it doesn't make sense anyway.

The DRSKit is the only one that would import..

Post

What can I use to downconvert it?

Post

There's no conversion. MDrummer will be able to import it, but it will keep the first 2 channels only. The DRSKit is used probably for multichannel mixer - each channel is one microphone. So there is no way for you to use these samples outside their plugin, reasonably.

Just wanted to let you know that the DrumGizmo multichannel waves work perfectly in Reaper. You can explode them to their individual stereo channels and save. Or you can make a drum template in reasamplomatic 5000 using the 16 channel files themselves.

I made one for the Muldjord Ki t(version 2).

Enjoy !

Cool ;). Anyway there you have to mix it before you actually use it, which seems just impossible to use to me. Anyway MDrummer will load it in the next update, but it will simply discard all tracks except the first 2, so it won't be ideal really. Perhaps we could do some MMultiChannelSampler in the future... But this format is so rare, that it doesn't really make sense now, definitely not just because of DrumGizmo.

Yeah , I actually used it as it is and it is too roomy.
And yes this is the first time i have ever seem multi-channel WAV files for drum samples.

But you can multi out and process it in the DAW. They actually had sample files for each mic seperately before and I mapped that too (yes im insane) but later they pulled it off the server. So im one of the few who has the mapped original where you can contorl the room and overheads as well as bleed for each piece.

I have to try out the sample import in mdrumemr 5 properly.

It looks awesome but cant say till I have tried it.

Hey guys,
It seems that there is some confusion with the DrumGizmo kits that you are talking about. I am one of the developers behind the DrumGizmo plugin. DrumGizmo is an open source, cross-platform fully featured multichannel drum plugin. It uses multichannel wav files containing multi-microphone recordings of single drum hits.

We created the plugin in order to simulate a real recording session. DrumGizmo has multichannel output (in the case of the MuldjordKit it has 16 channel output) per hit. This means that whenever it recieves a midi note played on, for instance, the snare drum, you will get output on all 16 channels. These 16 channels each correspond to a microphone in the original studio recording setup. Thereby giving you the possibility to mix it the way you would after recording a real drumkit.

The channels themselves include both ambience microphones, overheads and close mic'ing of pretty much every drum in the kits.

The channels themselves are ALL mono. The stereo imaging comes from panning the overheads and ambience microphones to the left and right in order to get that "room" feel.

I urge you to simply download the plugin as a VSTi from http://www.drumgizmo.org and try it out. It's completely free and open source, no strings attached, not even ads. We just create it for the fun of it and because we need it in our own productions.

Thank you.

You , Sir Muldjord, are a gem of a person :)

Thank you soooo much for the kits and drumgizmo.

To share soomething that obviously took so much time n effort for free is really something.

I used to use drumgizmo but since i went 64 bit i stopped as intry to avoid bridged plugs.

Is there a 64 bit version in the works ?

Again thanks for the samples.
