Any chance of adding a 'Snap To' function to the mapping generators?

Post

Not sure if it'll happen in this incarnation. It'll surely happen in the revamped Maps for Z3.

I'll see what's possible :)

Curious, snap to what? Vertical values? Would be brilliant if when right click selecting 'quantize', the quantize value would stayed checked until deselected.

(Sort of wish I could cut and paste the mapping generator data to/from text for script generated maps. Yeah, no fortitude to hand tune 128 steps...)

Vertical values. For example, when using the mapgen to enter note values.

Does the sequencer in Bazille not need something like this? I find it hard to create musical sequences with it, since I'm setting arbitrary pitches. I'm also kinda confused at how env triggering works - it seems to trigger when there's a big jump between values, or something.

If you use maximum pitch modulation depth in the oscillator, simply double the offset you need in the sequencer - e.g. an octave (12 semitones) = 24.00.
Envelope triggering via sequencer is actually *gating*. Positive values open the gate (and are also velocity values), zero or negative close it.

Ah, thanks, that makes things easier.
