Dear Meldagurus,
I tried to follow the manuals instructions on how to dig away frequencies in the master channel to make Space for a track with clashing frequencies.
First I used the analyze sourcefeature on an instance of the plugin on the master, and afterwards with an instance on the track in question, analyzed target there.
If I then afterwards click the separate button in the instance on the master, it´ll just subtract the Whole source analysis from the mix, so there´s barely any sound left.
In other Words, there seems to be no link between the two instances.
I´m using Cubase 7.5 on PC, and Wonder what I´m doing wrong.
Help would be appreciated!
Best Regards

Hi Roman,
you need to use the separate feature on the instance in the TRACK! You don't want to destroy the mix, you want to remove frequencies that are already occupied in the mix from the track. So you
1. Use analyze source on the instance place on the master.
2. Copy the settings to the instance in the track OR move the plugin from master to the track (many hosts do not have this feature, Cubase for example does)
3. Use analyze target on the track.
4. Click the separate button and adjust the dry/wet.
So you do NOT eq master, you eq the track.
