Please reread the start post in this topic, it contains a temporary M6 user key!

Basically, Mulab has a drum sequencer like Tracktion now, cool :)
Would be cool if one could use external drum modules as well, i.e. that the single outs are listed like the individual MuDrum sounds.

I also like that one can set the colors for MuSynth, very nice.

Come on, that is not the purpose of the demo version :) You can test basically any features with the current test version.
I hope we will be able to buy the upgrade soon, though...
It's called testing while being productive. I can't work with my current M5 projects in M6 and I don't have the time to test M6 besides working in M5. Simple.

Obviously you haven't tested during the M3 and M4 testing cycles, where this was possible in a later stadium. I'm just asking if Jo could implement this a little bit sooner than before.

:dog: Sorry I had not noticed that. Read the first sentence, got excited, clicked the download link and started

Thank you.

Can't repeat that noise. When changing the pre-post, sound is muted/reset for a moment, but that's unavoidable.
Yes, with track racks there is a pause, but with the master rack there is noise instead.
Are you using VSTs after the pre-post point? If yes which VSTs?
Doesn't matter, even without anything in the master rack slots there is that noise, but also with TAL's chorus (I just picked any random effect to try it).
Ok got your point. It's tuned in the next version. It will still have a little mute when changing the pre/post but much more efficient than now. Thanks.

The mute is fine, but when I hear that noise I think like there is something wrong with the audio, it is a similar noise as when Diva exhausts my CPU :hihi:

Of course there will be a gentle upgrade path. No way you would have to pay it all over again. It's not yet 100% decided but it will definitely be below 20 euro.
Given that you will probably stick to the old practice that one license covers MX and MX+1, I think less than 20 euro is almost too little. With other DAW's a license only covers version X, yet they charge more. Unless of course you also have a real job and don't need the money :)

No, that has stopped with M5 already. M4 was the last version that covered M4+M5. So the upgrade will be for all versions of M6. Note that users who bought their M5 user key "recently" (to be defined), will get a free upgrade to M6.

Please mail me a simple session (without VSTs) + step-by-step for how to repeat this crash. Can't repeat it yet here.
Thanks for your mail. Found and fixed the bug. Thanks! Enjoy your free upgrade to M6 :tu:

Is there a way to make a Start.MuSession template that does not automatically start playing the sequencer after loading up?

I renamed the New.MuSession to Start.MuSession and it loads fine but it still auto plays the sequencer. When I choose to open a new session, the same session loads without automatically playing the sequencer.

I can't find a setting for this in the preferences menu either.

As soon as you open or save a session yourself the Start session won't be opened anymore. So it will only appear the very first time(s) you launch M6, until you open/save something yourself. Note that only the Start session will auto start playing, no other session will do so.

Yes, me too. Very nice.

Projects are not backwards compatibe?

I've openened a very small (just a few tracks and bars) M5 project file in M6, changed nothing (I think) and saved the session. Now the session can't be openened in M5 anymore (no problem I had a backup, before testing)

You're asking for forward compatibility i.e. an older version that can open the files of a newer version.
Don't know about DAWs that are forward compatible. MuLab is no exception there.
