Nope, we would need to ask for that in API features. Maybe they are already thinking about that since any controller with pads could use it.

Yes and no.

What he is asking for is realtime pad lighting during play. Which means we need to know exactly what notes are playing when the transport is active.

"callback - with the signature (on/off bool, key [0..127], velocity [0...1])"

Note observer is actually a note on/off message for the track, but... I have not actually tried this to see if it reports note on/off from the DAW. I was under the impression it was explicit note on/off (from auditioning a note in the DAW's piano roll).

I guess I will have to try this and see.

Ah, okay. I haven't tried it myself but was reading the docs with this page open when I read your post.
I wonder if this could maybe expanded in this direction if it doesn't do it already?

Well I just tested and it DOES return the note on/off messages from a clip.

Will have to add this to the feature set!

Do you possibly know if track banking (e.g. selecting the 9th track in Bitwig will switch Push to the second bank and select that track) will be in the API as well or is being requested? I saw something on GITHub regarding this and got closed. Also how come no one else mentioned this - isn't it quite a workflow stopper when Push loses focus and you have to search the bank of the selected track every time.

Don't want to sound unthankful, because other than this thing it's brilliant work guys - you've must spend a lot of time in this! Thank you!

No not yet, but I did do presets, you can scroll through categories and creators. Not the actual preset list but that is coming.

As for the browser, that will be here when we can add tracks and effects.

Probably by the time you get a Push it will work.

Well I don't work at Bitwig but, I would venture to guess that everything in the Library in Bitwig will be accessed through the Browser API, so a theoretical yes to your answer.

Would it be possible to use the touch strip as a kind of crossfader? maybe hold shift down or something to turn it from pitch bend or maybe have a setting to where you can choose what it does? I don't know anything about scripting so I don't know how something like this would work or if its even possible
