Hello
I am very much enjoying your PUSH with Bitwig script.
It is nice to have most of the functionality in Bitwig.
I am looking forward to some of the features that are missing though.
I do have a question as I am having a little trouble figuring out how to control parameters in VST in DEVICE MODE.
In Ableton it is very easy, simply map to a MACRO and you can manipulate the VST parameter and scroll through various banks.
In Bitwig I can not seem to figure out how to do this....
Is this a function that is not available or am I simply doing something wrong?
As shown in your video, I see that when you press DEVICE on PUSH twice these banks show up:
DEVICE COMMON ENVELOPE USER MACRO
How do you set any parameters on VST (or stock plugs for that matter, but more specifically VST) to appear under these headings to manipulate?
Thanks for all your hard word and effort!
is is highly appreciated...
Thanks in advance,
Prem

Well the are some custom things happening with pitch bend and the DAW. I did figure out a way to somewhat use the touch strip but you have to turn off pitch bend in the controller(restart the controller script).

This will be the focus of some investigation in the future (touch strip).

Hi

Is this the latest script?
http://mossgrabers.de/Software/Push/Push.html

I downloaded, installed and it seems to be working... but want to make sure I have the latest (Bitwig 1.0.10 demo)

It would be very cool to have a button that toggles the touch strip between pitch bend and mod wheel!

Thanks... Using the script... your efforts are much appreciated. I notice that when changing octaves there is not indication of the range. Is that something currently not possible?

You can enter Scales mode (press Scale button) to see the range.

Would it be possible to display the changed range when pressing the octave buttons (like in Live)? That is much better for realtime playing. thx

I can add this as a feature request and check into it when I am testing some other things. I agree, it would be nice to know where you are as you are changing octaves.

looks like bitwig itself doesn't show any of this info when using the Z/X (oct up/down) and C/V (velocity up/down) keys on a qwerty kb, but if it's possible to show on Push, +1

It's definitely possible since we track the current octave and use it as an offset, the tricky part is getting it into the display nicely. :)

Great script this one. However, i have some issues with it:

* If i am in note mode/sequencer mode and press volume/pan i see the display changing the values when turning the top row knobs. Volume, pan, sends change value. When i go to session mode, everything freezes. The same thing with names etc. All data in the LCD freeze when in session mode. Then i have to go back to note mode and then press the volume/pan buttons to get updated data and then back to session mode.

What i mean is that I can only change between Volume, Pan/Send, Track, Clip & Device when in note mode. In session mode, its the screen of the last selected menu that is visible but like i said, its frozen so no updates are visible on the LCD.

If i press one of the mode buttons in session mode the change is not visible until i go back to Note mode and then i see the mode of the last button i pressed during session mode.

* The track select light does not work. It is the same thing as above. I have to exit from session mode to be able to get it working. The record arm button works. If i press it in session mode, the row/track turns red!

is it possible to get a mute function on each track? Now I'm using only session mode for live gigs and now i have to change to the wanted track in session mode, then i have to press the mute button. Can we get a config file change where REC ARM button works as MUTE button instead? I hardly ever record in session mode but would love to be able to mute more than one track live, and it would be great if this could be changed in the config/settings file.

Also, another question/issue that i haven't figured out. Im running a project with about 100 different tracks and use scroll to get to the side. Is it possible to get the session view in bitwig to follow to the sides when i press the cursor buttons? Now i have to press right/left to get to the side, but after a while, i scroll out from the screen and have to take the mouse and scroll to the side on the screen. Do you understand what i mean?

Huge thanks anyway for a great script. It works like a charm when playing live sets. However, it would be solo awesome to be able to work with PUSH without these bugs.

Thanks!

//Matt
