Btw this is a great update... !!! still getting used to everything tho.
What are the difficult points getting used to?[/quote]

... still getting acquainted with the program and workflow. -on my end really.

One other question... is it possible to wrap an instrument (etc) that's already inside a Rack and have it wrap inside a Mux... Like if I had an instrument I was using in a rack but then decided I'd like to have it inside a Mux, while keeping the settings for the instrument intact. Like a "wrap this in a mux" option?

Just curious... thanks

Post

Sure, "Cut" it out of the rack and "Paste" it into the MUX. Or drag-drop it from the rack into the MUX' modular area.

nice... thanks a lot

Sidechain.
The "Export Tracks" function will internally solo each main track and render it to a separate audio file. So if you want that all relevant audio is included in each main track then you could try one of these options:

1) Make sure all relevant tracks are grouped into a common main parent track.
Of course this will result in all that audio being rendered together.

or

2) Make sure all relevant modules are grouped into a common MUX that is the target for a main track.
This will also result in all that audio being rendered together.

or

3) Render that sidechained track manually by muting/soloing the relevant tracks and racks then use "Export Composition As Audio File"

Move Loop Marker problem:

i have created a New Session with 2 beats and grid 1/16th

COMPOSE Mode:
Snap On/Off works only as expected with Bar and Beat
with all other settings, Snap On/Off has no effect and Loop Marker or resize Sequence doesn't snap to the defined grid position

EDIT Mode:
in this case Snap On/Off works as expected, but after Start Loop Marker was moved forward it can't moved back - to change this, it's necessary to remove Start Loop Marker. it's different behaviour to End Loop Marker which can be moved in both directions.

Correction to COMPOSE Mode:
After zooming the two beats i see Loop Marker and Sequence resize is correct!
Snap On/Off works as expected and Loop Marker or resize Sequence snap to the defined grid position

I can't repeat any of these issues you described all working as expected here. Anyone else that encounters such issue?

Regarding the edit mode: When the midi file is placed at bar one
I can move it(Start Loop Marker) forward but not back again.
If I move the midi file to bar 2 it works moving the Start Loop Marker
backwards.

The reason it won't at bar one (I guess) is that the new position is
now bar 1 and there ain't no -1 or -2 bar.

I hope I explained it so you know what I mean.
I haven't used Markers that much, but can see it is a great feature
for making variations and such.
Sound C loud
Band C amp
Clicks and pops is all I get

Ok i see. Indeed that's because markers can't be moved to negative positions atm. I'll have to think over this one.
For now: In that case, remove the start marker (via its context menu) and reset it at the new position.

MULAB->Quit is clear and exit program, but why do SESSION->Close the same?

if i select SESSION->Close, logically i would expect that only the session will be closed but the dialog ask "Are you shure to close <sessionname> and quit".
In this case the menu should be renamed to SESSION->Close and Quit

EDITOR: moving all notes - if sequence is longer then the editor window size, notes will be shown also outside the editor window

EDIT mode:
in my drum sequence i would like to move all notes to the drumset names.

1. right mouse click - Sequence->Select->Select all
2. place mouse cursor over one note and press left mouse button
also notes outside the editor window will be shown

COMPOSE: moving sequence - if sequence is longer then the sequencer window size, sequence was also shown outside the sequencer window

COMPOSE mode:
if a sequence is longer than the sequencer window and the browser is shown; move a sequence to another track by select the sequence - press and hold left mouse button - the sequence is also shown outside the sequencer window within the browser window and/or the on track left side.

the same behaviour was also present in MuLab 5.5.2

You really want that free upgrade, eh? :hihi:

Some definite improvements. Love the Compose/Edit/Modular buttons at the top. Love the new approach to the main window. Like the new thin mixer view. How do you change the size?

Which size?

each mixer rack have on top left a "+" button to change the mixer rack size for extended rack view.
in extended rack view there is a "-" button to get thin mixer rack view.
with [Shift] and top left button "+" or "-" you can change the size for all mixer racks.
