Hi Jo,
Create a track with a number of sequences of longer than a bar.
In the 'COMPOSE' window, set the loop markers inside a sequence.
Set the 'Play' head inside loop markers.
Set 'Loop' on.
Select a different sequence to the one with the loop markers and playhead.
Double click the selected sequence or hit the 'EDIT' button.........
The edit window opens the sequence with the loop markers/playhead, not the selected sequence!
If you set 'Loop' off, move the playhead outside the loop markers or move the loop markersto include the selected sequence, the selected sequence opens as expected.
This seems to be repeatable.
Cheers

Anyone get Waves plugins, specifically Element to work in MuLab? I'm on OSX, but I really would like to use Element... and I hate to not be able to use it only in MuLab as it works fine in Live and Logic. Hmmm.

I used to have Element, but sold it immediately when I noticed it does not work in Mulab...
There is some workaround, but I hate workarounds...

It's explained at the bottom of this doc page: http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mux/us ... ugins.html

Confirmed, will fix that.

yes, that's the deal and the new MuLab version is a big step forward :tu:
I just think it is interesting how getting a license for free motivates people. I mean, unless Jo has rewritten half of Mulab, I suppose most if not all of those issues described here were already present in previous versions...

I'm not motivated by a free license... but I do want the small group of plugins "I use" to work. That workaround is for windows. Yes Element is not the only VA synth I can use... but there always seems to be a few little things between me and MuLab that keep me from using it as my main host. I think this version is an improvement, but there are still some things that make me go damn!

p.s. I created a new session in 6.0 with a few racks for sends, and a couple instrument racks... when I went to modular view all the items were in the upper left corner, on top of each other... and I had to unlayer/move all of them to view the setup? Should it be that way??? My old templates from 5.5 the sends stopped working in 6.0 Beta.

Can't repeat that. I created a new session, added some racks, switched to modular view and things were lay out ok.

Note that IF for whatever reason the modular layout is not as you want, you can always right-click the background -> "Auto Arrange".
My old templates from 5.5 the sends stopped working in 6.0 Beta.
Can you please elaborate on this.
All M5 sessions i opened in M6 were all working fine here.

if have already a MuLab 5 UL license and now i have tested the new MuLab 6 testversion for one day.
i have posted some bugs, but i don't got any free license for MuLab 6.

The sequence part start locator issue is regarded as a bug so yes you will get a free upgrade to M6, i had already taken note. New user keys will be sent out before release. For now you can use the free M6 UL test key, see start of this topic.

You might be surprised how many bugs/errors one line of code can make in a large application. I once wrote an algebraic calculator in C++. Man I hated it when I'd miss my semi colon or call the wrong variable to be assigned/changed.

I remember one day I just wanted to add the multiplication function to my calculator... I got it to work but the rest of my program didn't... Took me about 7 hours to find a missing semi colon and a missing (else) statement.

My calculator was console (terminal, command prompt, whatever you want to call it) based so it was relatively simple to write (I think my final version (riddled with bugs) was about 500 lines of code long). One short piece of code should be easy to fix right? Well, it wasn't. I'm pretty sure Jo is better at programming and bug fixing than I am but Mulab is a very advanced program relatively speaking. One new feature may break the whole application.

Thanks a lot! :tu:

My start template from 5 shows up in V6. It contains 3 tracks (tied to racks) and 4 Racks used as sends... When I opened it, the instrument tracks would not send to the 4 racks set up as effect racks... I had to create a new session in 6 to get the sends to work. Works fine in V5.5...

I made a quick test session in M5.5 with sends and opened it in M6, all fine here.

What exactly is wrong? Please describe in detail.

If relevant feel free to mail me the M5.5 session file, preferably first remove any VSTs from the session. (save it to a temporary M5.5 session file)

No sound comes out of the send... i.e. no reverb or delay from the plugin loaded there.
