Have you tried in top of the browser to choose -Samples(where it says What)- and underneath choose -This Session(where it says Where)

Indeed that function creates a new sample in RAM, not on disk. You could save the sample to disk if you want.

Can't do this, because from sample browser view or with "Manage Audio/Sample Files" it didn't work.mutools wrote:Indeed that function creates a new sample in RAM, not on disk. You could save the sample to disk if you want.
from sampler view the selected sample file can't copied or moved with the functions:
Copy Sample Files Into Session's Audio Sub-Folder
Move Sample Files Into Session's Audio Sub-Folder
Result: Copied 0 sample files or Moved 0 sample files
Manage Audio/Sample Files
Delete Unused Audio/Sample Object In Session (RAM): inactive
What About used Audio Files: Do Nothing
What About used Samples Files: Copy Into Session's Audio Sub-Folder
Trash Unused Files In Session's Audio Sub-Folder: inactive
Result: Copied 0 sample files

Delete Unused Audio/Sample Object In Session (RAM): active

Trash Unused Files In Session's Audio Sub-Folder: inactive
Result: Deleted 1 samples from session, also sample file in sample browser view is deleted.

How to save a new/modified sample in RAM to disk: Right-click the sample -> Save As...
If you "Create New Sample From Selection" and immediately do "Delete Unused Samples" that sample wil indeed be deleted as it's still unused i.e. not used in a (multi-)sample player.
