If you have examples do you also have the presets that made them?

Hi aMUSEd,
i know you'd deeply appreciate presets in REFLEX+ but since it's not implemented yet i obviously don't have any which i could provide here. My idea why i didn't include presets is that there're only few parameters in REFLEX+ which sculp the sound that IMHO it would be more time consuming to step thru presets which most probably don't fit the exact needs and then tweak the same parameters which need to be altered in the first way anyway.
However i can give you the settings which differ from the default values i used for the examples (BTW the comments in the soundcloud tracks contain some hints already).
Pad - Mode: Size 85%, Decay 80%, Mix 70%w, HP 20%, LP 10%, FIRoute FDBK, 6dB
Arp - Mode: Delay II, Size 100%
Rhodes - Mode: Reflex II, Mix 40%w, HP 27%, LP 20%, FIRoute OUT, 6dB
FM - Mode: Delay I, Decay 80%, LFORate 132Hz, LFO Mode INVRAMP, FIRoute IN&FDBK, 18dB
Loop - Mode: Delay I, Decay 80%, Mix and LP automated, FIRoute OUT, 18dB
Chant - Size 10%, Decay 80%, Mix 15%w, HP 20%, LP 10%, FIRoute FDBK, 6dB
Clap - Decay 90%
I hope this helps

Thanks - btw I have made a load of presets now but they can't be loaded in the AU in Logic and there doesn't seem to be any way to get any of them to show in the bank menu even in VST hosts.

VST presets are not implemented yet nor a alternative preset system. It can't work right now.
I'll include it in the next update. Just have to find out which way to go...

Thanks - yeah I have realised that. If you are looking into preset management it might be best to circumvent hosts entirely and build it in - most devs do that these days as particularly on Mac the challenges of cross AU/VST preset formats (and another format for VST3, probably another for AAX too if you go down that route) are a pain otherwise.

FYI:
REFLEX+ V2 is out and ready for download. It's a free update for all existing customers. It includes many new (and some long awaited) features like preset management...
Other improvements are: Pan modulation, two additional time modes, and a second effect line.
Hope you like it!

Gave the demo of Reflex+ v2 a try tonight and I have to say I'm loving it! It reminds me a lot of Eventide's Blackhole. At the intro price, it is a no-brainer. Nice job, STW!

I have the prior version of Reflex. How do I upgrade? Do I get the demo?

yes simply download the new installer and either install over the old version or uninstall V1 first. You shouldn't have both versions active.
I work on it. But for now i can't give any release dates because the new version will be more than just a native port. But be assured it will be there... someday...ezelkow1 wrote:Any word on an upgrade of reflex pro v2 to 64bit? Still holding out hopes for that one
Sorry that i can't be more precise

I can't wait. It's one of the few plugins I've jbridged, but performance and ease of use suffers.stw wrote:I work on it.
