Peter, can you have the guys at IK talk to Sweetwater? I went to buy the upgrade (with a gift cert), and they've already raised the price to the next level ($150) when it should be $99.

I talked with them on the phone, and the first answer was that the promotion had expired (even though the Sweetwater banner correctly states that the promo ends in 9 days).

Can anyone at IK help straighten this out?

SampleTank 3's multi-part pattern player can hold up to 128 simultaneous MIDI patterns in each of its 16 parts. This allows for extensive control of intensity, transposition and quantization.

Do you have more info on this? I see there is a Pattern tab, but could not find any screenshots.

Sorry to hear about this experience. I've PM'd you directly, and we'll get this taken care of. Thank you.

I predict a server crash, hope IK got enough bandwidth available come the day and hour ;)

One thing I noticed when downloading Sample Tank et al last year was the very slow download.

If that haven't got a turbo by now, users who is gonna download 30GB+ from the IK site, might spend a couple of days getting it down.

They will hopefully use a storage cloud or something like that...

Sorry to hear you had slower-than-expected speeds when downloading in the past, Numanoid. In the future, if you experience an issue and think it is an issue on our end please report it so our I.T. team can take a look. The servers are continuously monitored and based on our testing and reported customer experience we are consistently able to achieve speedy downloads and we are aware that there will be an increased load upon release of SampleTank so the team is preparing for that best they can.

I've written the Project Manager to get some clarification on this functionality as I too had a question about it. I'll also see what kind of screenshot can be representative, if possible and if it would be helpful.

One suggestion I made was packing the content better, if WinRar had been used instead of WinZip to pack these files, it could have saved almost 10GB in download.

I mentioned this earlier in the forum, but nothing has been done about that, when I download expansion packs recently, the files are still zipped.

How many packets will be needed for the samples to be downloadable?

Apologies if this has been asked but is there a full list online or document of the included presets?

And your suggestion, as always, was forwarded. The decision to use zip was likely not purely about the size of the download, but it also isn't something I've weighed in on directly so I relayed and leave the decisions of that nature to our I.T. team and the developers.

I have attached a screenshot. The process is as follows: You simply drag a pattern from the browser onto the SampleTank 3 keyboard to assign each pattern to a key that will trigger it. You can also double-click the patterns in the browser, and they will automatically assign to notes chromatically starting at C0. Patterns are indicated on the ST3 keyboard with a gray or red highlight along with a little play arrow (like SampleTank iOS if you've seen or used that). Then you just select the pattern you want on the keyboard (red highlight), and it will appear in the Part Viewer on the right along with all of its edit settings (Intensity, Key and Quantize). There are 128 notes in every Part x 16 Parts = 2,048 possible patterns in every Multi. You can also audition individual patterns in the Pattern Browser on the left by clicking the play arrow at the bottom left of the browser. Patterns of course play the Instrument that is loaded into the same Part.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
