This is like asking if joy, fury, triumph, sorrow, regret, courage, desire, spite, peace, or jealousy belong in music.

Of course they don't. Music is only math with no humanity whatsoever. Especially not sarcasm.

Even if it wasn't humor, it could still be so, a positive song say from the Beatles, makes you not only smile but laugh as your mind wanders about how it makes you feel. How is any music NOT humor? I mean maybe gangsta rap isn't, unless you have serious anger issues.

Assuming we're not talking just about music with lyrics, and not just about Ha, Ha funny humor but some broader definition...

And let's not forget that even when it comes to the established realm of humor and comedy there will always be some who don't see the humor in it. That's probably true of a good deal of what some of us find interesting in life.
