Was this an old post duplicated by some glitch? Yes, it was discussed when it was suggested. Likely not done due to the reasoning already discussed. Servers/downloads are fast, even with thousands downloading at a time. All seems good without using a format that would not open natively for many users and would cause support to have to answer more tickets amongst the ones they are already having to field about actual questions about our products instead of some 3rd party freeware. Hope that covers it.

Edit - are you in, then? Forgive me if you've mentioned this again. Feel free to repeat that post too.

Is there a grace period before one has to register ST3?

Is ST2 required on the system to be able to install ST3? I assume not since it is a completely new program.

I'm planning a new build and want to install ST3 there but it may be another month or two. In the meantime I want to do the dl, make a backup and not run the risk of losing my opportunity to dl without spending more money. I see the one year dl has now drop to 180 days and since "things happen" I don't want to get short sided or blind sided.

Sorry, but could not find these answers at the IKM site. FWIW - I did find an answer to the number of allowed installs ;)

Meaning, that even though an issue is noted, it doesn't actually imply that anything is done about it.

Using rar's would lead to smaller download files, which would save download time for users and also save bandwidth.

Post

I wouldn't call it an issue at all, it was a suggestion and I thank you for it. Yes, it was noted but not implemented. I know that not all requests can be implemented, and the reasoning behind this one not being implemented seems pretty sound. Plus, the current performance seems quite good using zips and the long-term benefits of using a more universally-supported file format must have carried some weight.

Post

Peter, you mentioned before there would also be a demo download available before the boxed version is released. Is that still the case and when will it show on the site?

There is no grace period to register your serial, though in the odd case it doesn't work it may be a good idea to do it sooner rather than later in my opinion. You can even blame me if this messes you up in some way. :)

You do not need ST2 on your system in order to install SampleTank 3. Your assumptions are correct.

Seems from the next part about a new build would make it a better idea to register and download everything now (or soon) anyway. Please do correct me if I am interpreting any of this wrong.

Apologies for not breaking up the quote this time, and for being far less entertaining. I will try harder next time.

I dunno, the last line was very funny! :D

Quite entertaining :tu:

My concern of registering now is the issue of re-registering to another system later on.

Since "things happen" I'm not sure i want to run risk of over registering the serial and being denied access.

However, since you apparently think this is a safer method I'll (erm - ahem) trust you Peter ;)

Thanks for the reply.

dsan - you have 10 authorizations so you should be fine.

On my Mac, Miroslav installed flawlessly.

You use the "Import Legacy Instruments..." function as detailed in the manual and it should be in under Imported Instruments in the browser. You should also rescan your library after the import.

Post

And i did that. Nothing appears in the library ;/

At least where does it import ? my small SSD is running out of space!!! :(

EDIT: it imported in FL Studio 11 folder?

You are hurtled into the surface of the sun. :) Oops, that's not it... After 10 authorizations (you shouldn't run into issues reinstalling on the same machine, by the way, so that won't eat them) you can contact our support staff and they will take care of your request.
