Reporting that Sample3 has become completely unusable.
The standalone has not worked at all since installing, but I am now getting an error message and a crash log when loading SampleTank VST in Cubase 7.5.

I'll let IK (and Steinberg) know about the problem. Just curious if anyone else is having this issue.
Grrr.

One thing I am curious about: will the 'legacy' instruments be re-tooled as add-ons for ST3 or completely discontinued?

Note that, at the moment, only US / Canada eSoundz users can buy ST3 from eSoundz.basslinemaster wrote:Isn't that rather expensive for so few presets, and only 392MB of data? (The MSRP of $99 I mean, getting it free if you buy ST3 from Esoundz obviously isn't a problem!)

"Users who purchased and registered SampleTank 2 XL, Miroslav Philharmonik full, Total Workstation, or Total Studio up to 2009 will automatically receive free JamPoints in their User Area. Use these free JamPoints (45 JamPoints if you are purchasing it in Dollar, 36 JamPoints if you are purchasing it in EUR) on the IK Online Store to redeem 30% off the introductory price of SampleTank 3."Ben H wrote:Yeah, the "loyalty discount" never materialized.
Apparently everyone got the "same great deal" instead. :/

Originally they were saying same deal for everyone.
So it seems they have changed their minds/policy yet again.

Thanks! The plot thickens on my end, as after working initially, ST3 is now generating error messages when trying to load in Cubase 7.52. I've submitted a support ticket.RLSguitar wrote:I got mine to launch at first just after install, but when I went to change the device from Windows to ASIO, it crashed. I haven't been able to launch the standalone since, it continues to crash whenever I try to launch and never opens. However, it seems to work well as a VST in my DAW (Reaper). I'm looking more into it and will post when I have more details.MickGael wrote:In the absence of a new thread:

Not quite true if you purchased products before the jam points system started you get nothing, nish, nada, zilch.

I just realised that it still doesn't take the cost down below the $99 upgrade pre-order price that everyone was offered.

My advice is if you can order elsewhere, it's pretty obvious that IK multimedia don't want to be loyal to their long term customers.
Exactly the same model as native instruments.

Well I actually ended up tossing ST2XL in the bin a couple of weeks ago.topaz wrote:My advice is if you can order elsewhere, it's pretty obvious that IK multimedia don't want to be loyal to their long term customers.

interesting, but no jam points in my account (and i certainly qualify according to the rules you quoted)jensa wrote:"Users who purchased and registered SampleTank 2 XL, Miroslav Philharmonik full, Total Workstation, or Total Studio up to 2009 will automatically receive free JamPoints in their User Area. BenH, notice the offer states "introductory price". Those that took advantage of the "preorder price" got a bit better deal.Ben H wrote:When did they announce this?jensa wrote:"Users who purchased and registered SampleTank 2 XL, Miroslav Philharmonik full, Total Workstation, or Total Studio up to 2009 will automatically receive free JamPoints in their User Area. The upgrade intro price is 149.99, so if you apply the max jam points savings it works out to be 105 and change. That is if my math is correct and the offer is what I understand.
Happy Musiking!
