V2 dealbreaker?

I've recently tried out Sonar 3 and while most of the workflow sucks monkey butt IMO, the loop features are awesome. I'm really hoping T2 does something as radically cool as what Sonar does now, or I'll have to consider not upgrading to T2 and learning to deal with the complexities of another DAW.
Tracktion is by far the most efficient workspace when not dealing with loops, but even the workarounds for the loop issue are cumbersome, such as One/Solo. You have to prepare everything beforehand in other tools before you ever even launch Tracktion.
It is as easy as can be in Sonar and I really hope that is the direction Tracktion is headed. One think I particularly like is that you don't have to prepare the loops beforehand in any other tool such as Recycle, it has taken every loop I've thrown at it and given decent results without any tweaking, which makes it really easy to throw an arrangement together fast. If I need to tweak the loops later, that's fine, but at least I can get it all started at the moment of inspiration.
I know Mackie and Jules are against announcing details of T2, but I think that it's counterproductive to keeping their user base. I have to ask myself, is it worth waiting to see if Tracktion becomes what I need it to be in 6 months, or should I find a solution to my headaches now?

If you really feel headaches I can only stronly suggest to find a cure now.
And what's the point of this thread anyway? Mackie and Jules have stated repeatedly that they won't give any info until version 2 is nearly finished. So do you expect them to all of a sudden change their minds after they have read your heart-warming post?

No, I'm questioning the wisdom of the decision.Pädy wrote:If you really feel headaches I can only stronly suggest to find a cure now.![]()

A comment about keeping the Tracktion userbase: while the low price of Tracktion was a probably boon in building a userbase, it can also work against it since I don't have as much invested had I chosen a different DAW like Cubase. If I had more money rolled into Tracktion, I would be more reluctant to make a switch. I'm still really reluctant because Tracktion is so easy to deal with , but without a good solution to the loop issue, I really feel trapped.
If anyone can share how they work around this in a easy, quick way (not Reason/ReCycle/One) please let me know. I can deal with every other little oddity in Tracktion, but this seems to keep popping up without a good solution.

braj is asking a valid question even if it is a little redundant. Does pre-announcing features to whip up some anticipation benefit sales, or does it serve to create bad feeling in the long run?
IMV, I don't think it hurts to leak teasers of things that are certain (IE things already developed), but it is unwise to announce features that are as yet still on the drawing board.
At this early a stage though, I don't see it as being advantageous in any way for Jules or Mackie to start dropping hints or making promises.
As for getting a headache - I'm totally with pady on this braj - if your mind is getting numb then your creativity must be getting shot to hell. Time to move on. Unless of course the alternatives hurt even worse.
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

huh
I would love to know what is happening to my favorite sequencer in v2. I got some ideas about this.....what I really want to know is WHEN! And what I really REALLY want is Jules to fix the mac problem with "render" and "freeze" so I can render at 24bit!

That would involve partaking in several pints...
So, yeah, we'll probably hear SOME sort of something.
