After reading some comments on the sound in happy I did not preordered it.
I'll wait for a solo engine with st2 import capability or a dedicate miroslav upgrade, otherwise I'll just live without

There will be a demo version with a smaller but representative sound library too, so you have that option soon. Just letting you know.

Edit - there are also quite a few opinions stating the opposite, obviously everybody's taste is different and their own (here are some comments from users):
"SampleTank 3 sounds gorgeous!! I am overwhelmed by the quality and breadth of content! I like it even better than [competitor]"

"Think I've just found a new go-to piano. Beautiful velvet-y sound. Well done guys & gals!"

"As an interface it is better than the competition. The sample library is satisfyingly different in every sample. Nothing feels like a needless duplicate of that other famous library."

"...spending much time just with the basses!
Such an excellent work there, from fretless to slaps! They really sound so nice."

"The loops are a revelation. I really like the on/off switches for all of elements of the loops. It's exactly the way I think of it"

"Bass Guitars, Electric Guitars, Keyboards, Pianos most ethnic sounds, Drums, Synths, Clavs, and let's not forget Organs all sound superb."

"Most impressed with the bass guitars too. No wonder they are in the first downloads!"

Edit pt 2 - I'm not saying anybody is wrong, or who you should or should not listen too, just providing some counterpoint. I have submitted my opinions on what we should add or improve going forward, and have gained some insight here and elsewhere that I've relayed, and over a little more time we'll get a good picture of what kind of expansions etc should meet the needs of ST3 users. I definitely thank everybody for their input and constructive suggestions and criticism.

Does anybody have an error message when loading a SampleMoog Multi. Import and playing of SampleMoog sounds works fine, same seems to be for the Multi import. When I want to load a SampleMoog Multi I get the error message:
Part1 loading issuses
Legacy instrument not available
Part2 loading issuses
Legacy instrument not available

Some Multis are available.
Thanks for any help

Hey Peter,
As you know, I pre-ordered the boxed version.
One of the reasons being that I also had problems in STank2 with the Obie sounds being too quiet in comparsion to the disk loaded versions. Not sure why that is, but seeing that someone else had the problem here, thought I should mention it.

But I bought another program (Notion 4) which had the same problem as what we went through with the TRacKs and Amplitube crashing while trying to open in either Stand-alone or DAW-VST.
I was able to get it working when I disabled all but 2 cores. However, this makes everything else work marginally or not at all. Once I reset Windows(7) back to running on all cores (32), then Notion again crashes as it (and the x64 IKMs) did before.

So I'm wondering if support has done anything to improve the compatibility with multi-core? (as in more than 2). If you could pass this on to your techs and get back to me (us), I would appreciate the information.

Still stabbing away at this issue, and now keeping my fingers crossed that STank3 works where the others will not.

Which Multi / Combi is it?
Does it load OK in SampleMoog (plug-in or standalone)?
Which instruments does it contain?
Are they in the SampleMoog library and the Imported library?

i have to ask... during these ST 3 threads you have indicated the likes of Omnisphere/Kontakt were not your favorite instrument/cup of tea... you talk of how products like ST 2/ST powered libraries and Dim Pro did basically all you needed musicially (if you want me to take time out to find those threads/posts i will... for the record today date is 7/27/2014... in case you want to edit them before i find them)... my question is... why would you need a 32 core machine in the first place?

just curious...because a 32 core machine is like owning a ferrari in NYC... there no place to open it up....

There is no problem in SampleMoog vst 32 bit. I just tried it in Cubase 7.5.2 64 bit.
The error message in ST3 I get when loading e.g. Bass-> Another One, no problem with As Bass (1. and 2. Bass preset)
Another One is listed in the Imported ST3 Presets List in Windows file explorer and ST3 Multi.

Obviously!!! you did not read the post... he indicated he turned off all but 2 cores... question MR. Obvious... how do you turn 30 bytes and have 2 bytes left over?

Perhaps, but at this point, it is besides the point. I would liken it more to having my all-wheel-drive in an urban environment. (Which works nicely when you suddenly have to run up on a curve and not be concerned whether your one drive wheel is connecting or not.) :)

I've actually transferred most of my instances to Kontakt at this point. But still think STank is a great product. Just not sure at this point if it can do 'all-terrain'? Maybe I'm trying to run a four wheel drive with a 50cc two cycle motorbike engine here? ;)

Still, I find the price worth taking the chance as some of the single libraries for Kontakt are as much or up to four times as much as the upgrade. I have yet to find any compelling reason to purchase Omnisphere.

Yes, I said cores.

I reached a point of being disgusted with buying above the minimum requirements and it still not doing the job to my satisfaction. The idea of 'specifications subject to change without notice' can be reached far quicker than the out-dating of the machine and OS itself. Buying 50% higher than the minimum usually ends up lagging and choking in reality for me.

Now we never explored the core usage with TRackS/A3, but the crashing is exactly the same with Notion4, which implies there may be the same thing happening with them. Unfortunately, Notion only runs under two cores, no more, no less. I believe that they may also be adequate on a four-core max system, but would like to hear from those with a hex-core if IKM 64 bit software is running without issue for them also.

In any event, it is something to consider and that ought to be addressed for future concerns, since cores are ever increasing as time moves on.
