1. Ghost / cloned clips so that you can edit non-contiguous clips as a single entity.

Ooooh yes... I imagine having clips in the clip launcher and being able to "clone" them by ctrl-dragging them into the arranger, or something. and editing one clip edits them all.
Everything's spinning.

Keeping up tha heat for ghost clips... SO useful for stuff like getting a bassline roughly correct and then coming back to really fine tune the groove later (which can also be done with groove templates to some extent but obv they aren't implemented yet either).

u can create midi note triggered sequences with Mux easily

so it can't be a problem, hope BWS 2.0 will able to do the same modular routing (VSTi automation also working nicely using the meta-param system of Mux, but hopefully it will be solved with BWS 1.1 /multi-out VSTi handling with free midi routing/ so we will able to move out the VSTis from Mux which will contain only the sequencer related logic )

Being able to edit clips and automatically propagate the changes to arrangement view would be so awesome!

1. Rewire
This is the number 1 feature request from me, and the reason why I'm still using Ableton. I've had Reason for many years, and I have thousands of patches that I've made. I also have rack extensions (that I'm not allowed to sell so I'm stuck with them). I love Bitwig's sequencer, but I want to be able to use the synths in my Reason rack.

2. Freeze function
Working with large projects always makes my laptop suffer. Being able to easily freeze and unfreeze (to make changes) would be very, very convenient.

3. Ghost clips
This would speed up the workflow tremendously. And I know Ableton users would be REALLY jealous :)

4. Being able to start playing from an arbitrary position in the clip without having to move the play start position (and then move it back again). This is useful when you want to do several small edits. In Ableton, this is done by just pressing the left mouse button in one of the fields in the timeline (while the little loudspeaker mouse pointer is shown), and the clip is played from the corresponding position.

5. Better undo function. I want to be able to undo changes in a VST.

I'd also like to see:
* Ability to move play start position and loop start position simultaneously in clip mode.
* REX file support (Rewire would solve that, though)
* More file formats (EXS24, NN-XT, maybe even Ableton) supported in the sampler.

on win 7/8 the ReWire VST from energyXT is working http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 9&t=416113

Minihost Modular also can be used as MIDI note triggered clip(or sequence) "host" it also has own piano roll module with freely definable triggering zone(s)

and Geist can trigger the drum pads by default (with its MIDI out), so we have "ghost" clips for drums too

only its pattern selector have to be automated

Proper bypass, or disabling of synths / fx

That is all.....

i will add one more: why not to combine object selection tool and time selection tool. personally, i find it slow to switch from one to another all the time. i'll repeat my ctrl+ e working on the audio grid demand. maybe its because i still use ableton but switching is a pain to me right now. anybody with expirience? will i get used to it and was it a problem for you ?

So far two requests from me.

1. drag and drop samples from the browser into machines
2. Ability to pin favorites in the browser. So I can keep my most used plugins and sample folders close by. The search feature is great but being able to pin my favs would be good too.

Not much to ask but Im still new to Bitwig :)

For the time being to drag samples into machines..

Post

Hey thanks for that, quite a nice little tool. Kinda crazy that I can drag and drop from that external tool into the machine within Bitwig but I cant drag and drop from Bitwigs own internal browser!

Is it possible to run Resonic as a plug in within Bitwig? I tried adding it but no joy. Maybe you know a trick. Anyway thanks again, it will do for now!

Yes strange indeed you can use an external tool for it... But unfortunately you cant run it as a vst. (but i thought he,s working on it)
Long samples i drop from resonic to ILedison. Wich i run as a vst , and cut it and drop it from there to my samplers. (another external vst, tool who support drag and drop to bitwig???????)
Hope they,ll fix this soon cause i think it,s ridiculous......
