Here are some thing you might want to consider jules...

+ the ability to rename filters inside a rack. Why? because if you are building instruments from smaller components inside a rack, you don't necessarily want everything to have the same name... it gets confusing. This actually could be extended to any filter. The actual rack filter can be renamed, so how about normal filters.

+ the ability to lasso (or shift click) multiple filters inside a rack, and move them all at the same time.

+ If a VST doesn't support a midi-in or midi-out, we shouldn't see a midi-in/out node on the filter inside the rack. Can lead to confusion...

+ (I've mentioned this was before, but just in case it's fallen thru the cracks...) it would be awesome if objects inside a rack, when in single window mode, where the same size as the filters when in two windows mode. There is simply not enough space. The racks get crowded really fast.

Uhm.. that's it! :D

Hey Mod you forgot one so i'll add it
the racks need to support more than 23 audio ins and 1 midi in
this aint enough if you want to make a big mixer
everything mod said plus this
I aint famous enough to be handin out signatures

Speaking about crazy racks. I was messing around experimenting with them, and I noticed that when I had a lot of filters it started to slow down. The CPU was still low, but everything moved slow when the rack was showing. Does this have to do with my video card? I'm I the only one with that problem?

yeah! everything rack bitz said and AD80! :D BTW, I do have the same problem with the entire screen slowing down when you've got lots of rack cables going everywhere. Hmmm... room for any optimizations?

I hope so. I'm gonna have to over-clock my video card just to play with your new building blocks haha.

also, CTRL-drag should work properly on filters in a rack - you have to currently drag them outside the rack then back in to copy them - leaving the original at the edge of the rack! a pain if like me you make massive complex racks with little building blocks!

also, it would be cool to allow feedback, but i imagine that's probably lethal thing to leave open without a massive warning sign...
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Hey Mod....
about renaming filters in a rack....
I had a rack I was working with that had 2 of the same filters ( delays ) and I kept getting the 2 confused, so I made a copy of the ,dll with a new name ( same name actually, just a 1 after it )...

I know it's not really a fix, but it's a quick workaround if you're in a bind...
