Hey these are really good news. It's great that you try to squash as many bugs as possible first before releasing (great) new features. Keep it up! ;)

However I'd just like to ask again concerning the 'consolidate bug' I mentioned some time ago(just the first 2 posts of http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 9&t=414515).
Or am I missing someting and it's supposed to work like this?

thanks for the update :tu:

*no more crashes when dragging clips into the arranger :phones:

FIXED Doubling content of selected arranger clip also unselects it, thus makes the note editor lose it

Thanks for fixing this!

Thanks for the fixes and improvements. Bitwig now starts up faster on my machine. Nice bonus. :)

Greetings,

From the Changelog:
FIXED MIDI clock sync does not work on Linux.
Tested and verified on Fedora 19 x86_64. I routed Bitwig's clock out through the ALSA virmidi script, hooked the virtual MIDI module to Paul Davis's Softwerk MIDI sequencer, set Softwerk to External clock, routed Softwerk's MIDI output to the Hexter FM synth, and routed Hexter's audio to Bitwig. Set an audio track to record in Bitwig, press the start button, and away we go. Nice.

Csound also sends MIDI clock. Alas, neither BWS nor Csound receive it. Ah, but someday, someday...

Meanwhile, thanks for the fix. :)

Best,

dp

Edit: Successfully recorded sync'd audio and MIDI output from Softwerk. Sweet.

Thought I post this here as well:

For those of you who use the Arturia KeyLab Controller Script:
I uploaded an improved version to Github:

https://github.com/bitwig/arturia/tree/Improvements

Would be great if you could give it a go and see if all works as expected so it can become part of the 1.0.12 release.

- Controller Display Feedback for all parameters
- Showing the parameter even if it doesn't change (was problematic due to
fighting with the internal parameter display)
- MidiData Function now ~12 times faster
- Indication for Track Volume on Cursor Track.
- Mode has two lines of text so everything fits in
- Drum Pads light up on notes played
- The most important CCs are always sent to the Note Lane
- Transport buttons light up now, although this is a bit experimental
since it interferes with the internal
KeyLab switching, so it has to use a timer...
- In Arturia Mode, all CCs are also User Controls and mappable now.

Thanks a lot!

Cheers,

Tom

no sonnox plugins  :hail:

also i got a 100% clean new system set up, took me two days to build everything up from scatch, but i still got the problem with the plugin open/close window.

However, due to the fresh system i think, the system audio drop outs when Bitwig loads and closes disappeared. Thats a good thing. I do not want to moan, i`m sure those other stuff will be fixed someday. so great work anyway.. :tu:

Really nice to see this, but it's halfway there. Using "double content" should not stop playback either.

Bug: Note editor piano keyboard doesn't work until you add a note in the clip.

Start a new project
Insert an instrument track
Insert a clip on that track
Try to use the note editor piano keyboard to audition notes - no sound
add notes in the clip
Try to use the keyboard again - you get sound

Insert another instrument track, create clip, play keyboard - the first track sounds instead of this new one
Insert notes in the clip, play keyboard - the new track now sounds.

+1!

When editing midi data:
if you move a note up/down with mouse you can hear the note.
But if you move it with cursor keys there's no sound.
Would be nice if both cases worked the same way - you could hear the note as it moves.
