This entry has already been a bunch of fun. It's made me grin numerous times while checking it out. That doesn't seem to happen much when testing plugins! Great job!
Thanks a lot ! :tu:
anyone found the easter egg yet?
There is a cheat code to enter somewhere :hihi: . I don't think it will be that easy to find randomly, I may give the answer in a few days

I love easter eggs :D But it's a small thing compared to all the "gamification stuff" I was planning at first... I would have liked to "force" people to unlock separately each pedal with some stupid challenges

Post

I'm not guitarist but I imagine that it could process all type of sound which passes n the stereo entry.

My plugins EcolooP has a Line in and some gadgets FX. Throw an eye there if a guitarist have a little of time to test it with a guitar ! :tu:

Post

I'm planning to try and review as much entries as possible, since a lot of them seem interesting to me, and because everybody but me is in holidays in August  :hihi:

Post

I have edited the first post of the topic with a very important information for every Guitar Gadgets user :hihi:

Yeah, I was nearly there myself but then my mouse broke down before I could click the final "KVR" :D

I hope you will like the easter egg, and that you will be able to find a good vet for your mouse :D

First minute I was like, "What the heck am I supposed to do..." but now I'm addicted. Sheesh.

Having a lot of fun running some old off the cuff takes from my Jagmaster through this . Controlling the Filter cut off with an external LFO brings it to life too.
Nice touch with the Easter Egg  hot is good :)
I meant to do that.

Just a repost of the previous thread conversation from the Guitarampmodeling forum:

I love the Super Phaser, sounds really thick, warm, and analog. The funk envelope filter is also a standout.

Some cool surprises were the bit crusher pedal, and the micro cassette tape emulation.

The bit crusher ring mod degrader effect is pretty musical and usable to generate some synthy 8-bit chip sounds from the guitar.

The wow and flutter on the micro cassette effect is probably the best wow and flutter sound I have heard generated by a plugin thus far. The hiss control is also programmed right, which does more than just add a static layer of noise on top of the sound, and it seems to work non linearly in conjunction with the the input control and limiter, and also with the flutter. I was playing with the micro cassette effect for almost an hour the other night. Instant Boards of Canada (Campfire Headphase) guitar tones, but I know its going to sound awesome on any other source too, like pads. I am going to try it on some condenser recorded acoustic guitar next.

The reverb/delay pedal is pretty neat for post rock star gaze ambient washes.

I am wondering if you have the skills to add or do a cool EHX microPOG or POG/HOG effect too.

I'd also love seeing a variation of the comb filter as another effect tuned and controlled more as a straight up flanger pedal effect.

Cool stuff already. You definitely thought outside the standard box for this and expanded on some more esoteric not so common effects.

Well, I was trying to finish a pitch shifting algorithm before the deadline, but I didn't make it in time. Else, I would have added a whammy, an octaver and stuff like that. The microPOG is just an octave up and an octave down isn't it ?

You mean the comb filter controls may be a little too complicated ? Or you would have like to have only controls such as "amount / rate / dry / wet" for example ?

Thanks a lot metalifuxx !

Basically octave up and octave down with dry mix, but its also polyphonic (Polyphonic Octave Generator), so it works better with full chords.

Also if your going to do a standard whammy type pedal as well, those usually need midi control or automation, I'd love to see a threshold control envelope follower implemented so you can activate pitch bends with say a harder picking attack (+) and or softer picking (-) attack depending how the knob is set, with a neutral 12 o'clock center position with the effect always on.

Yeah, so its easier to get it sounding more like a standard flanger, or the control parameters dialed/tuned down more so it doesn't get out of control or extreme as easily. Just my opinion, but I am sure there are people coming up with cool sounds/uses with it like it already is.

The thing is the comb filter isn't the standard ingredient to create a flanger. Usually, to make a flanger sound, you take a delay line, and you make the actual delay variable. According to the amount of modulation, and the dry / wet ratio, you can get a chorus, a vibrato or a flanger.

But here, I have developed a very simple comb filter topology, and yet you can get some extreme and unusual sounds, which can sound sometimes like a flanger. Anyway, I may use it a little more, find the most interesting range for the controls, and limit the results a little

can't say I disagree with much else you say, either
None of the really dumb people I knew when I was young are young any more.

Screw you man, I got to 4500 and dropped the ball

Thank you everybody ! Some side notes :

- To improve your score, you need to try to use only two directions (say right and down) as much as possible, and to have the highest case in a corner. This way, you minimize the number of steps necessary to go to 5000 ;)

- The hot button changes two things. Some algorithms behave a different way, and the signal is sent to a distortion section to add some harmonics. With some gadgets, you may attack it very hard with the input knob, but use it with moderation :) I had a "dummy" gadget who did nothing during the development, but with the hot switch I was able to use like a very simple saturation pedal.

- My best score is 10000+ :hihi:

Great VST and the game is super addicting!

I wonder if I should remove the access to the game when the hot switch has been unlocked once :hihi:
