You get paid only a few Euro per hour? :o Who is taking advantage of you? :? Report them to the authorities, as I understand Germany has now set a minimum wage at €8,5 per hour

Well, nevertheless, I would choose capitalism over communism any day:

"The Central committee has decided this year to produce glorious 1xOSC Synth Edit plug, you may stand in freezing que for 30 hours to buy one. It's called Kronk"

So either you buy Kronk, or there is no alternative.

On paper, yes. In reality jobless people even are forced to work for 88 CENT per hour... :x

But I cannot elaborate it here, I don't want to end in HPC...

Sendy wrote:There is one weird aspect to the modulation in the synth: pitch modulation isn't consistent across the keyboard. So if you set up a semitone trill in the middle of the keyboard, it'll play a different interval in the bass and treble range. Not a huge problem, but it's the first time I've noticed a synth do this.
Hmmmm, that's not something that's ideal in a synth that wants to be an educator.

I mean, how do you explain that inconsistency to a student.

If starting out with Basic, and then moving on to more complex synth later, the student would have to unlearn what s/he had learnt with Basic in that regard

I think that Sylenth would be good to learn on, but it would be too expensive for the educational market.
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

Sylenth is probably too much for beginners. And it doesn't have PWM, either, if I remember correctly.

If this Basic would be €19 i would eventually buy it but €39 (intro price)? Hell no!!! :)

Yeah, but then again, maybe I am just too stupid :hihi:

For beginners I don't think I would pick a synth that got a display (except for displaying the live waveform, which would actually be helpful) and a modulation matrix.

If you have Reaktor there is Bassic:

which is very similar conceptually and architecturally ( a bit more flexible with the sample capable 2nd osc) and the price you mentioned - it has an awesome ZD filter and an extra vowel filter too

Post

No, i don't need any of the both really but thank you for the link. :)

It's a shame that there is no demo to download for Basic :?
