No credit for me? Kind of a slap in the face...
I came up with the idea for the stubs and Teoti implemented a generator that followed my spec. He gave me plenty of credit on his post, but you guys didn't.
I mean, clearly Teoti's contribution was more directly important to Bitwig because without it you wouldn't be bundling the stubs with Bitwig.. but without me it's likely that there wouldn't be any stubs at all.

Is there a reason the Launchpad script can't get fixed??? Still can't select a key for In-Key mode... Everything is in C???
Am I missing something here?
Cheers... V.

yeah but it should be fixed anyway^^.TristanMendoza wrote:You can use the time selection tool for thatmrfrenkie wrote:You fixed "Doubling content of selected arranger clip also unselects it, thus makes the note editor lose it." but forgot this.
Hope in the rc2 we will see pre roll in the clip launcher!

Really uncool... Perhaps I phrased my post a bit weakly. Here is a more complete summary of the situation as it is and what lead to me posting that..Suloo wrote:the All Mighty Trapper
Back in April I created the Bitwig JS API Stubs. That's a link to my commits - scroll down and you can see them dating back to April.
This Bitwig release's changelog says:
Here is the repository where his code lives: TeotiGraphix's repository commitsThanks to Michael Schmalle (Teotigraphix) for contributing the code for generating it.
Mine was completed back in April, Teoti finished his generator code and the end of July.
That's just the history of it though, here is the post Teoti made when he announced the code he had finished which is what the changelog is talking about. To quote it directly:
So what they are including in their official release is directly based on the work I did. In fact, you can diff what they released with this version against code that I posted back in april and the only difference is whitespace and a comment at the top of each file. There is no questioning that this would not exist without the work I did.TeotiGraphix wrote:Then I thought about Trappar's great repo he created for creating stubs for library loading in JavaScript IDE. I then thought about the ridiculous amount of time he would need to keep up to date on that API as things are added in the future, doing diffs of javadoc and then actually adding, plus maybe updating descriptions as Bitwig adds more info would just get out of control, so this project is for you Trappar.
I put a hours and hours of work into this and for them to not credit it at all when they are directly benefitting from my labor is.. well.. I really hope it's just an oversight.

That sucks actually to use two different tools to do stuff. They made unique daw with great ideas and they did all these awkward tools... I wish it was like in ableton when u can do stuff with just an arrow and shortcuts. Different tools r old fashioned. You can use the time selection tool for that

Hey Trappar, i'm deeply sorry that your initial work was not mentioned, this was definitely just an oversight. I will update the changelog entry. Thanks for doing cool things with the API!trappar wrote:Really uncool... Perhaps I phrased my post a bit weakly. Just tried on Windows 8.1.u x64 with the 32 Bit demo of Geist and was able to drag and drop Midi no problem in 1.0.12 RC1 ?codec17 wrote:-Geist pattern midi drop doesn,t work anymore...

im back to 1.0.11 Big things for me...
What system are you on?
Are you using the latest version of Geist?
I don't have Maschine and there is no Demo so I can't test that one.
To all: please mention your OS & version and 32 & 64 version of the plugins you have trouble with. Thanks!
Cheers,
Tom

Thats true I hope they can cut down on some tools and turn some into keyboard short cuts or something, but Bitwig isnt the only one with multiple toolsmosska wrote:That sucks actually to use two different tools to do stuff.
