Awesome :)

Post

As Sascha has left for holiday before he could post it… here it is:

Satin2577Win.zip
Satin2577Mac.zip

Please give these a try. If they're good we'll rush it out as version 1.2.1

Thanks,

- Urs

That's some serious dedication right there. props Sascha and have a nice holiday.

....... To cut a complex explanation short: the delay params got messed up and I cleaned it up again.

Our build servers are currently doing their work, and we'll provide installers later today. Please redo your tests and report whether old (<1.2) presets and projects are fine again.
thanks Sascha,
Enjoy your vacation.

I was wondering if these are now to be considered the full release versions? Maybe your server problems are stopping the announcement...

Post

The server problem affects serial-number generation mainly.
We haven't made it 'official' yet as we haven't gotten enough feedback. I'd encourage everybody having compatibility problems with 1.2 to re-check with the 2577 version. The latest hiccup is especially embarassing since it went through undiscovered in beta testing and the extended public beta phase.

Unfortunately we're now at 258x internally, and those have a new glitch on WIndows. We can't simply recompile 2577 with "V1.2.1" for Satin. Therefore we're contemplating to release 1.2.0 Rev 2577 officially next week.

We also think that 2570 (less Satin) is ready for "Latest Builds". If Michael can't crash them, they must be good.

Those two things and another exciting little distraction on Monday will make it into a newsletter next week!

Cheers,

- Urs

EDIT - So this is crashing Cubase 7.5 on Windows. Is there an old version I can roll back?

Works great, I had an install issues and an old version causing the conflict. Very snappy load times now :-)

Hmmm, that's very unlikely. We've tested Satin in every host known to man and the release version has been crash free in extreme stress situations.

It sound smore like an installation issue, or maybe it's the old VST3 version. In either case, I'm sure Rob and Michael can help you via support at u-he dot com

You can however go back by copying the download link and replacing Satin12Win.zip with Satin11Win.zip - we haven't deleted the download.

Cheers,

- Urs

Huh. Can't be Presswerk, Sascha being on vacation and all... would this be the beta buzz for the weekend project? Or is this the secret GUI update?

Hehehe, something completely different. My wife releases a single, which was produced at u-he headquarters with Gareth Jones (yep, him), using our synths. We also produced a video for it, using a custom-developed After Effects plug-in and nightshifts of stop motion. It's a bit of an artistic distraction - which every now and then has to happen if we do not want to lose touch with the arts.

Of course we hope for a cross-promotion effect - it's a great demo for our stuff and Jayney might get a few more listeners :clown:

Ha, sorry for assuming it had to do with even more software. Well, good luck with that. Not sure if you can beat the meat pie video, but I'll keep an open mind ;)
