I have a backup disk. I transfered Traction back to my computer.

Traction says the key I saved is not the right one.

I had the traction key resent, it did not work.

It said that it was the wrong machine.

What do I do and will a new Traction install recognize my songs.

Tracktion calculates its key from different sources: OS, HD partitions (and sizes?) and so on.

Of course, Jules never told use the exact specs... :wink:

Did you any major changes on your system? Like re-partitioning, and/or hardware changes?

Anyway, it doesn't matter! If you are sure, you won't do any more changes on your system, just go to Mackie, enter the new serial and request a new keyfile. That's it! Tracktion works as it did before - no trouble with your old files.

You can change your keyfile several times (but you shouldn't) before Mackie locks your account for a while. It's simply to prevent you from fetching as many key as you want. (Never tried that - just read it in this forum)

Mackie figured out the problem.

Verizon dsl stripped the files and rejected the email.

So I had to change my email address temporarily to receive the download.

I also had to change the machine number at mymackie.

Traction kept all my songs and files intact during the biggest crash I ever had. Thanks to the Russian server which came to me via zonelab upgrade popup.

I spazed and hit yes which transferred me to the Russian bug.

You Traction engineers are awesome. I never thought I'd see those songs again.
