Zebra XY Pad: Option to choose which Pad is currently active?

Old iPad + "MIDI designer lite" + camera connection kit (or similar).

I don't like the smooth glass 'feel' of the iPad for something like this, I would rather use a separate piece of hardware.

It might be possible to use something like the pizMidi plugins, notably midiConverter3, to change the output of the XY midi into other values.

Map the pads to output different CCs than the pads and each other to change between 4 different scenes.

Something like this: Have the XY pad send out CC100, CC101 and the first 4 pads send momentary values of CC102,103,104,105.

Your DAW needs to support midi plugins (like Reaper). In fact, if you're using Reaper this can be written in JS relatively simply if you can program scripted languages.

Based on this sentence, which pads are you referring to when you first mention 'pads'? I'm a little confused here.

By the way, I use Logic X so I can't use the pizzMidi plugins anyway since they are in VST format. I'm looking into getting 4 Ergo Touchpads and using it with an app called Track Master. I have emailed the developer about compatibility but have not yet heard back. If it works then I may have found the solution.
