"The Dark Zebra" is a PRESET LIBRARY of Batman movie sounds - nothing more.

However, when you buy The Dark Zebra, you also get an update to Zebra2 called "ZebraHZ". This was necessary because several presets in The Dark Zebra use extra features that Hans Zimmer requested for his custom version (ZebraHZ).

Hey Urs, downloaded DZ from my u-he account to get the update. Tried downloading a couple times and the file will not open. Error message that the file is "invalid."

Hi Urs,

I only use your free stuff, but maybe you would like to know :

Podolski2570 sounds completely different in old projects than version 2352.
ZebraCm2570 does not show the preset name and still suffers from this :

Code: Select all

Could someone try this :

Load ZebraCM,
Initialize
go to LFO2 right click one of the assignable knobs,
choose LFO1
Try to turn that knob...tell me what happened ?
Did you jump to LFO1 ?

Is this a known bug ?
But I still love these plugins 8) :hyper: so thank you.

Windows7 64Bit using 32bit plugins.

Thanks for the clarification Howard.

Hmmm, I just gave it a quick test and couldn't hear anything suspicious. Could it possibly be an accidental MIDI-Learn?

Sounds like some of the sounds play one octave lower... ?? <- THATS IT !

Now I know WHAT it is but I still don't know WHY ? I'm back to 2352 they remember the presets and don't transpose.

Edit : removed useless comments and samples.

Thanks for the updates!

I've been having a minor issue for a long time and was just reminded of it again. The VST versions of many of your plugins do not show up for me in Ableton Live. I never complained about this because the AU versions are fine, so I just use those. But under my VST plug-ins I can only see Bazille, Satin, and Uhbik. I also own ACE, Diva, MFM2, and Zebra but they don't show up.

I can see all the *.vst files in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/u-he/

At one point I may have tried installing the VST3 versions of these. But I deleted all of them. Also, I had an old version of Uhbik up one folder level in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/, so I deleted those too. I'm pretty sure at one point I tried deleting all of /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/u-he/ and installing them again (I did not try this with the latest updates though). After all that, and rescanning the plug-ins and restarting Live, they are still missing in Live.

I'm on OS X 10.9.4 using Live 9.1.4 64-bit.

Oh! I just noticed, it seems like they do show up in an older version of 32-bit Live, which I never use anymore (just thought to try while writing this post). I thought all your plug-ins have been 64-bit compatible for a while? Is this behavior expected?

Post

Have you just rescanned, or did you do a deep rescan?
Hold down the ALT key and then click "Rescan", this will force Live into doing a more thorough scan.

All our current plugins are 32/64-bit compatible in all formats, so that's not the underlying issue. Our Mac plugins are Universal Binary anyway, which means that one plugin file (.component, .vst, etc.) contains the plugin for both architectures.
Cheers

Hi,
Updated Diva to build 2570: I've lost all my favorites stars althought all sounds are there.
As I made a copy of the presets on another drive, will I get back my favorites after the next update?
Like the improved GUI.

Just copy Favourites.db.txt from your backed up root preset folder back into your new root preset folder. That's where the favourites are stored, and the installer should not delete this file.
