Coming from a hardseq/sonar/cubase background, I hated Tracktion for the first 10 minutes but then became a convert - it's just astonishing how much this software works for me instead of me having to work for it - major props to the developer(s) for daring to break the mould!
I have a couple of suggestions, unless this can already be done in which case I'd like to know how;
1. Ability to rename/alias midi output ports and have it "stick" across sessions. My midi configuration is fixed (always plugged into the same synths), so instead of "Miditerminal 4140 Port 3" I'd rather see "JD800" so I don't have to remember what's where.
2. Ability to have tracks feeding controller data to another track (eg, softsynth controller data). That way, rather than having all my controllers on one track I could use one track for each controller.
3. Controller envelopes that send sysex data instead of CCs. I use older synths (Roland JD800, JD990) that don't respond to CCs. I'd be looking for a dialog that let me define the sysex string, and of course in the case of Roland synths the checksum would need to be calculated, but other than that it's not much more complicated than sending cc data. I know a lot of people who would go nuts for this!
Thanks,
G.

well, I don't remember how, but it is already possible, my juno and my QS always show up as themselves insted of (MIA MIDI in & DMX 6Fire MIDI)1.
