I've looked around but can't seem to find anything covering using Remote Control with ProTools. Is it possible to control an external synth with the AAX version of the plugin? If so, how is it done? Can/should the plugin be loaded on an Instrument track to provide both plugin functionality and MIDI, or should it be on an Aux track with separate MIDI tracks? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi,
Thank you for your interest in our plug-in. The way we would do it is the following:
- instantiate the Remote Control plug-in on an empty audio track.
- create a MIDI track to carry the MIDI signal
- Assign the input of the MIDI track to the output of the Remote Control plug-in
- Assign the output of the MIDI track to the appropriate MIDI hardware output (the one your keyboard is connected to)
- Arm the MIDI track for recording/input monitoring
You should now be able to control your HW synth using the Remote Control plug-in. Maybe an instrument track would work too, but we have not tried this yet.
Hope this helps!
