Hi,
just been reading a lot about stepchild and I feel like I'm missing out on details... can someone write up a nice small tute on this? I thought it was simply point and click on the steps to make a quick beat... Is there a way to "record" or hear it as you go?

what do you mean record or hear as you go
do you mean like playing the notes on a keyboard and recording em into stepchild
ifso i dont think you can and dont see the point
i'll do a tut if you need it
Mod just needs to update the README file
you will find all the instructions in there but various instructions are only to be found next to the relevant update
so go down through the readme and you will find all the key shortcuts and so on
im going to write a tutorial at adbe showing how to use stepchild and rack bitz modules to create rubber duck in a rack
what else do you need to know

if you've got Stepchild in front of a vsti/sampler/whatever and the track is playing (looping) then don't you hear the notes/hits when you click a square?
haven't used it for a while but I thought it worked that way...

No, and thats my point. Say you have some obscure drum kit where you need to know exactly what is going to make what sound... See what I mean?
