While you guts wait for Reaper 5 and StudioOne3 ......Tracktion 5.3.14 was just released with VST3 , ARA and a free Celemony Melodyne lic ( the cheaper one ) .... $59 .. Dusclaimer , I don't use VST3 or Melodyne but who knows .

It's funny. There is a very old reaper thread that got bumped today with a post of mine from 2011 asking for reaper 5. Pretty safe to say it's not happening

Since BWS I am on ful time linux ... so unless it is Linux native no upgrade for me.

It would need some cool no linear arragement features and a great implementation of controllers like Novations.

I would love to see a bit more in the modulation window, for instance the possibility to modulate Volume, Pan, Width, send levels etc, the same way you can modulate VST parameters (with LFOs, audio signal etc) and the possibility to modulate modulaters parameters the same way too (like LFO rate linked to audio signal, things like that).
That would be a step more in the modular direction, maybe not what they are after, I don't know.

And I'd love to have a way to extend the "move automation with clip" to folder tracks, as in "I want to move the fades that are on my drum bus when I move my audios (that are in track IN the folder, not in the folder track directly)".
That would be a lot easier.

Aaaaand something like "insert X bars of silence at start of project".
