Do you like the idea of a sample oscillator inside the U-HE synths?

Yes, it would create more creative possibilities and ways!

There are now many other synthesizers out there, where I can load own short wavs about maximum 8 seconds to use them like a oscillator. This is really useful to get some "real" sounds like voice influence as example which is really useful to break the static of basic waveforms and wavetables!

It is nothing special or complex, just a possibility to load a short wav about max 8 seconds and cycle it! (maybe a little loop editor to create a seemless loop where I can adjust the start wavform with the end wavform or a crossfade setting for the loop).

This would be realy nice, wouldnt it?

Zebra 3 will have WAV loading (not sure up to 8 seconds length that you'd require). Until then, there's wav2zebra.

Can you load a sound with an envelope and have the whole envelope on each of the slots with wav2zebra? Last time I tried it only gave me 1 slot.

So as you can see, there are many people out there who would like to have such a possibility!

It would expand the timbre the beside the ordinary waveforms which every synthesizer have..

So the developer maybe think about it and get me as new customer! :P

Lots of bashers, but where are the blockers and bombers? /gaming reference

I like the way Zebra forces you to create realistic sounds using basic, static synthesis building blocks and modulating them. It's almost like a game :) If they added a sampler oscillator, it would completely change the philosophy of the synth overnight.

I wouldn't kick a u-he sampler out of the studio, though.

Zebra is not like "many other synthesizers."

I suspect if the U-He group decides to use waveforms as you suggest it will be in a new specially-made vst...

Until Zebra 3 comes with more advanced wave import you can use the "updated" wav2zebra tool.
